Stayed twice, some rooms have been done up and are very good and some are still older but all have microwave, stove, fridge, plates and cooking utensils.
The staff at the anchorage were very helpful. The rooms were very clean.

We had a wonderful stay at the Anchorage Motel. It was clean, warm, friendly and close to everything. We would definitely stay there again and we recommend this motel to family and friends.
Showing it's age, but for the price it was good value. Not too far from the shops. Heated floor in bathroom. Staff helpful and friendly
Was a pleasant stay, only problem our parking bay was at a difficult angle on site.Not all the other bays were like it only the one we had.

The motel is a standard type of motel with basic services, however it was clean and comfortable.
Within walking distance from city centre. The room was clean and facilities was quite impressive (electric blanket, heater in bathroom, electric stove, TV). Overall I was very impressed.
The motel is located one street back from the lake, but within easy walking distance to both lake and shopping area. Our two bedroom unit also had a well equipped kitchen. Well maintained.
nice accomodation handy to everything
As we approached the Motel I did think it was going to be a tarted up older motel with limited facilities, as we had found in other parts of New Zealand, but it has been recently renovated and was very pleasant and well appointed. A short walk to the shops and attractions, and the owners were pleasant and helpful.
A very comfortable living room with lovely decor. Small bedrooms but loved the flatscreens in living room and bedroom. Staff very helpful.
Lovely quiet sunny and clean unit within walking distance of everything we required. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful and nothing appeared to be a bother. The young woman who greeted us on arrival was just lovely, a credit to her parents.
