Andaman Lanta Resort Koh Lanta

It's not a luxury hotel, but location and service is prety good. This hotel worth every cent payed for it. We have lost some clothes when leaving hotel, but hotel staff send them to the next hotel we stay in Krabi, without charging us and whith only a phone call made. Koh Lanta is a very pleasent and peacefull place at all, comparing to Krabi and Phuket. I'm never going to stay at the same hotel again as a principle, but Andaman Lanta is a hotel I will visit again.

The Andaman Lanta Resort is in a good location at the Southern end of Hat Khlong Dao beach. The staff are very freindly and the Resort is mainly used by families, so if you are a lone traveller you may feel at little out of place. The resort has a good size swimming pool and a restaurant that serves Thai and International food, though this is expensive compared with other options in Hat Khlong Dao. Also if you are staying for a while the breakfast has a limited choice and can be a little repetitive. The Standard Rooms have both Air Con and a fan but the decor is a little jaded and the bathrooms could do with being refurbished. I paid $38 per night at high season rates and considering the location this is average value only, due to the decorative state of the rooms. Overall I would recommend the Andaman Lanta Resort for those with a family, but if you are backpacking solo or as a couple there are other places on Ko Lanta that offer better value.
