Let yourself be enchanted by the English charm of the new Angleterre Hotel. The furnishing of this hotel is based on the English style. With warm colours, sparkling chandeliers, large wall mirrors and wood everywhere, your stay will be an experience of a special kind. Even the facade of the palace building from 1891 seems to invite you to linger a while. Admire the elaborately restored murals on the walls (over a century old) and the fine mouldings on the ceilings. Numerous important sights are in the direct vicinty, among them the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag and the Potsdamer Platz. A lot of international companies have established offices in the immediate neighbourhood of the hotel in the area around Friedrichstrasse.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely hotel. Friendly staff, really comfortable room, wonderful choice for breakfast and only a five minute walk from check point Charlie. The U Bahn (tube) is just beside the hotel too!

I would definitely stay at this hotel again. It is situated close to the Metro (about 100 metres) and is a few hundred metres south of Checkpoint Charlie. Bed was very comfortable, a good hot shower and aircon. The breakfast buffet had a great range on offer and plenty of it. Staff were helpful and friendly. Check-in/check-out was a breeze.

The hotel location is excellent, nearest U-bahn station (Kochstrasse) is just outside the main door. There are interesting sights around the corner (Jüdisches Museum, Checkpoint Charlie). The hotel itself was clean and comfortable and the staff was very polite and helpful.
