"Lovely little hotel in a great location, just a minute or so from Piazza San Marco.
If you are arriving in Venice by train, you can catch a ferry to San Marco, just outside of the station.
We stayed in a room on the 4th floor which overlooked a canal and a small bridge and was perfect for a stay in Venice.
Breakfast was good and included cold meats, cheeses, breads, cereals, juice, tea and coffee etc. Very generous, particularly considering how expensive eating out in Venice is.
Staff are friendly and helpful and internet service is available if required.
The hotel does not have a lift, so you would need to keep this in mind if you are not able to walk up several flights of stairs.

The Antica Locanda Al Gambero is located in the heart of Venice 150 meters from Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge, maintaining the warmth and charm of a small Venetian-style hotel.
Recently renovated, it provides its guests with beautiful rooms, complete with private bathrooms and all of the amenities. From the Antica Locanda Al Gambero's balconies, our guests can enjoy a wonderful view of a classic Venetian canal, reliving the magical atmosphere of the romantic Venice of the past, cheered by passing serenading gondoliers.

From the Airport use the public boat provided by the Alilaguna company.
It will take you from the airport to Piazza San Marco in about 60 minutes for Euro 10.00 per person. Cross Piazza San Marco and take the Calle dei Fabbri street (at the corner of Quadri caf).
Cross the first bridge and continue straight for about 150 meters.The Hotel is to your right just after the second bridge.
From the Train station take public boats # 1 or #82 and get off at the Rialto stop. If you took line #82, walk to the line #1 dock (about 15 meters away). From the exit of line #1's dock, take the Calle Bembo street located in front of you. Follow the street to its end, cross the intersection and continue straight for about 3 minutes. The hotel is located to your left at the foot of a picturesque bridge.
