The hotel itself wasn't too bad. The rooms were clean (our smelled like cigarettes on the non-smoking floor, but not terrible), and the hotel pool was really nice. The hotel was literally across the street from the beach, and about a 2 km walk to the walking street (really fun, we highly recommend going there!!). We would stay here again, BUT for anyone looking for ANY type of answers for ANYTHING from the staff.... don't waste your time. The staff was terrible. No one knew where any stores were around the hotel or how even to hail a cab. 2 major examples: We wanted to get our hair cut and when we asked the customer service person where to find a place to cut hair, he had no idea. After walking around for a while, we finally found one. It turns out, there was one IN the hotel that he didn't even know about. Second example, upon checking out, we asked for them to call for a cab to get us to the bus station, and they said they didn't know the phone number to the cab company. We had to walk with 3 bags down to the beach (1 block), stand on the sidewalk until we could hail a tuk-tuk to get us to the bus station. Other than the customer service (Truly awful!!!), this was a good place to stay, and we might actually stay here again just because of the location.
Nice place. Straight opposite the beach. The hotel was larger than we expected. The room was quite large too. Only possible downside was that the bathroom was a little mouldy and we could smell this when we checked in, but we didn't really notice it during the rest of our 3 night stay.

A decent enough hotel with decent facilities. Staff polite & helpful, but not exactly happy in their work ... hardly a smile in sight. Management try to overcharge for everything, which makes it economically inadvisable to dine at the hotel. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. Nearby beach & sea is far from clean. Not a resort for families.

Unusual design but very nice holiday hotel. Location at north end of pattaya beach good idea!
Unfriendly large hotel. We (my wife and I) reserved a double room (large bed) on [your website] but was provided with a twin room even after reminding reception of my double room reservation. Only after refusing the twin room (two beds) on seeing it was I given a double room on 2nd low floor with no view and lots of outside noise. Won't be staying here again - but good value and decent breakfast.
Location is very good because the hotel is situated in the beachfront. In terms of service, the hotel needs to improve its quality of service. Checking-in the hotel requires patience and long wait. The hotel does not provide toothbrush and you need to make an additional payment everytime you make a request for basic toiletries which some other hotels are giving it for free.
Very good location, across the street from a section of beach that is roped off for swimming. Many inexpensive restaurants within walking distance. Short taxi ride to (5mins)central Pattaya. Drinks are on the expensive side at the pool. Breakfast was included in room rate, the buffet was average quality but did have a varied selection of food. Did not eat at dinner buffet but it appeared to be about the same as breakfast(600baht per adult) Rooms were large and clean, although Fox News was the only US news channel.
definately recommend, going to stay there again later this year. will certainly make it a base for future travel

Royal Cruise is an ideal hotel for the middle of the price range bracket. Good location and relatively quiet. Only downside is that rooms have an adjoining door (makes them into family rooms) so the noise from the next door is very apparent.
Nice place for the price. A little farther from the main night-life area than expected, but if you don't mind a nice long walk, you still don't need transportation.
The facilities of this hotel were fine, however be aware that they cater to large tourist groups traveling by bus. The personal service of a smaller hotel was lacking and I would not consider staying here again.

The hotel has a unique and interesting feature as it is designed like a ship. Staffs are very very friendly, rooms are spacious and clean... but the beds are a bit hard and not comfortable (so it isn't the best choice for guest who puts priority in dozing off into slumberland!)
The hotel is very clean and the staffs are very friendly. The breakfast buffet is very good too! I will for sure stay there again if I ever return to Pattaya in the future.
