Apartments On Lygon Melbourne

"Kaye" was a down to earth woman and welcomed us with a joke and a smile. Great place to stay.Friendly,quiet neighbours (Melbourne Cemetry is over the road!) and comfy beds. Bit of traffic noise but only noticed it cos we are from the country. Very pleasant outlook from the rooms-green leaves and trees. Not so fancy that we felt out of place. Highly recommended. Will stay again. Thanks.

Great reasonably priced place for families with large rooms and space for the kids to run around whilst you prepare food in the well equipped kitchen. Plenty of parking for those with a car or a short tram ride into the city for those without. I keep coming back.

Very expensive for what it was, quite old and badly in need of maintaince. Electric plugs with black burnt bits didn’t inspire one. Good parking, nice and private.

The price was OK and so I didn't have high expectations however I really did think hygenic tea and milk would have been a reasonable expectation. Uncovered tea bags in a bowl on the sink and no milk when we arrived late Saturday night. NEVER experienced that before. Bed was comfortable though. The other thing I was surprised at was the the Visa card booking was activated as payment. Generally this is requested at the time of booking and THEN the tarrif is paid AFTER staying. Of course I realise that in the event of not keeping the booking, there would be a payment however I've not had this experience before. Stay there again - NO. Would ratheer stay at QUEST or the Clocktower which is where we generally stay but at least there was parking there, probably because it was so far away from the action!

Lovely rooms, close to shops and resteraunts and easy access to CBD.

Apartments are a bit older but therefore larger more pleasant rooms. Kitchen very well equiped, separate toilet, shower and bath in roomy bathroom. We had ground floor apartment but no elevator to upper floors. Would happily stay here for a week. Good location close to centre of Melbourne.

Clean and comfortable. Very convenient location as tram stops at the front door! An older appartment, but clean.

Plenty of parking, stairs up to the 3rd level - some in our party found the noise from the street kept them awake, others did not notice this. Overall a nice 2 bedroom apartment

The shower leaked terribly, hotel had a musty smell, dish washer did not work. Not recommended unless you were stuck at the last minute like we were, and had no chioce.

The Quest on Lygon is in a quiter part of the City and is a good base from which to enjoy a night out without having to worry about a designated driver as there is a tram right outside the complex. We found the rooms were good value and although not ultra-modern were clean and tidy. We were in the centre of the complex so it was very quiet all in all a nice comfortable budget conscious place to stay.

We all felt the hotel was somewhat shabby, which was disappointing given the 4-star rating it was advertised with. There were no powerpoints in the main bedroom, which we found very odd.

A bit noisy as it is located on a busy street. Spacious rooms, but no instructions for how to use TV or washing machine. Parking onsite at no extra cost. Stairs but no lift to upper floors. Location good - only 10-15 minutes from city by tram.

Very quiet location, but next to a tram stop, just a short ride to the city, very happy with this establishment.
