"Good hotel, should make more use of its views on Edinburgh Castle in the breakfast room.
I did not appreciate that after I ordered a continental breakfast (9.50 pound, expensive in itself for what you get), I was charged 20 pounds for breakfast when checking out. The room was already paid by my company." - Govert Buijs
"great location to base yourself. getting a car park spot can be difficult when busy and you can't prebook a spot. Tour bus stops outside hotel so if you buy a ticket you can hop on and off all day and then back to hotel. Good bars close to hotel." - john kelly

Planes:
From the Airport just follow the City Centre road all the way in. No turns until you reach Princes Street, Edinburgh’s main street, with shops on one side and the Castle on the other.
As you reach Princes Street,turn right onto Lothian Road and then first left onto King’s Stables Road. Follow this road as it winds its way around the foot of the Castle. After approximately 400 metres you will come out into the Grassmarket, where the Apex International is located.
Trains:
The Grassmarket is only a 10 minute walk to the south of the Station but we recommend that you take a taxi (5 minutes) as the approach is quite hilly in parts, especially near the Castle.
Automobiles:
If you are driving into Edinburgh the simplest way to get to the International Hotel is to head for Princes Street, Edinburgh’s main street. You will immediately see the Castle and the Grassmarket is located directly behind it.
