Consumer Reviews and Rating

"great location to base yourself. getting a car park spot can be difficult when busy and you can't prebook a spot. Tour bus stops outside hotel so if you buy a ticket you can hop on and off all day and then back to hotel. Good bars close to hotel." - john kelly

"although our stay was brief, it was very pleasant. I think the location of this hotel is the major attraction, along with very pleasant staff :)" - Mairi Paton

"Comfortable beds;lovely toiletries; average breakfast" - Anonymous

"From the moment of arrival until we left the service was outstanding. On our arrival we were impressed with the kind helpfulness of the gentleman (John) from reception; from parking in the private carpark to his assistance getting the luggage in our room. On checking in staff was very cooperative in getting us an appropriate room near a lift as one of us suffers from restricted mobility; staff went out of their way to facilitate the nightly parking and recharging of the mobility scooter. Tips were politely refused as all assistance was considered a normal part of the hotel-service. The room was spacious, comfortable and well-designed. The restaurant on the 5th floor has a marvellous view on the castle and the city; the food was good as was the service. We will definitely be back." - Anonymous

Check-in Time: 2:30 PM
Check-out Time: 12:00 PM
Getting there: Planes:
From the Airport just follow the City Centre road all the way in. No turns until you reach Princes Street, Edinburgh’s main street, with shops on one side and the Castle on the other.
As you reach Princes Street, turn right onto Lothian Road and then first left onto King’s Stables Road. Follow this road as it winds its way around the foot of the Castle. After approximately 400 metres you will come out into the Grassmarket, where the Apex International is located.

Trains:
The Grassmarket is only a 10 minute walk to the south of the Station but we recommend that you take a taxi (5 minutes) as the approach is quite hilly in parts, especially near the Castle.

Automobiles:
If you are driving into Edinburgh the simplest way to get to the International Hotel is to head for Princes Street, Edinburgh’s main street. You will immediately see the Castle and the Grassmarket is located directly behind it.
Check-in Procedure: Check-in is from 2.30pm. A credit or debit card will be required upon check-in.
