"Centrally located. Staff very helpful. Would stay here again." - Anonymous
"Terrible checkout queues. Terrible food for a hotel of this standard. Unlocatable stairs. Perpetually full lifts (only 2 lifts). Unruly guests, loud and uncontrollable. If in a room facing the street (I stayed in both a room facing the street and a room facing the carpark), drunks clearly heard at all hours of the night through closed windows. Absolute disgrace. Litter all over corridors outside room. Noise from other guests including screaming and normal conversation clearly heard. Good parking (free). Nicely decorated bathroom but poor shower pressure. Good quality toiletries provided. Iron and ironing board provided which is a nice touch. Television channels limited to BBC, ITV, Five and Channel 4 only. Very poor for a hotel of this standard. Disappointing. Will never stay here again." - Tze Yean Kong
"We have been here before. Its in the best location the staff are always helpful and the rooms are lovely. The only disappointing thing this time was the the restaurant was not open on the top floor." - Ann Mourby
"unfortunate to have a room overlooking service area ,so delivery lorry woke us in the morning, and noise came up from the bar.
hotel was busy and queue for breakfast in the morning. facilities were good, beds were comfy, staff were friendly and local, more geared to the business person than a families but good value for a smallchain hotel." - helen cosslett

| Getting there: |
Planes: From the Airport just follow the City Centre road all the way in. No turns until you reach Princes Street, Edinburgh’s main street, with shops on one side and the Castle on the other. As you reach Princes Street, turn right onto Lothian Road and then first left onto King’s Stables Road. Follow this road as it winds its way around the foot of the Castle. After approximately 400 metres you will come out into the Grassmarket, where the Apex International is located.
Trains: The Grassmarket is only a 10 minute walk to the south of the Station but we recommend that you take a taxi (5 minutes) as the approach is quite hilly in parts, especially near the Castle.
Automobiles: If you are driving into Edinburgh the simplest way to get to the International Hotel is to head for Princes Street, Edinburgh’s main street. You will immediately see the Castle and the Grassmarket is located directly behind it.
