A great place to stay for the price. Good location and quiet. Tiny lobby only about 8ft wide including staircase, but rooms were good and clean and owners very friendly and helpfull. I would stay there again

The location was excellent. Very centrally located to all the major attractions. The service was fair. Breakfast was good. Our sink was broken but overall clean.
Accepted the third room offered - the first two were incredibly small. Bathroom including toilet, washbasin and shower was no bigger than a large toilet. Disgruntled lady served the breakfast. People at reception were very helpful. Location very good with public transport at the door and within walking distance to most places of interest.
Room was very small and not much room for hanging up clothes etc. Otherwise good budget hotel in a very central location.
The hotel has needed a make over, but then the prise for a room probably would have been higher.

The room was VERY small and no way to control the heating system other than to open the window more or less. An older building but well maintained with the Hotel on the 3rd floor. Seemed expencive but I guess not for Rome. Great location, can walk to everything.
A double room in February was a bargain, Fresh linen every day, Great buffet breakfast and pleanty with great bread. Rooms very warm. Great location, walk anywhere from here or use any of the 5 bus routes that call outside. They will arrange taxi airort pickup , would stay again out of season.
Great location - 5mins walk to Vatican City, 10 mins to Spanish Steps. And very helpful staff! Our itinery was such that we arrived in Rome, stayed for 1 night and make a trip up to Florence for 4 days and then back to Rome for another 5 days. We stayed at another hotel for the first night in Rome and not wanting to lug all our bags with us, the staff gladly allowed us to leave our bags with them even before we were due to check in! It was fantastic!
Friendly helpful staff and great location. As much breakfast as you could eat! Bathroom/toilet very good. Overall thoroughly recommended. The hotel has a luggage facility so late flights are no problem.
A very good hotel overall and antique style rooms give a great feeling. Perfect position close to all the central sights. With friendly staff I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
Hotel had an excellent location. Walked to every land mark. Vatican city fifteen minutes, Trevi Fountain ten minutes and The Spanish Steps ten minutes.
We are pleased to report that the lift is now fixed. We chose the Ara Pacis based on some of the previous feedback and were very happy with our choice. We were travelling with our two children (6 and 9 years) so our requirements would test any establishment. Ara Pacis met all our needs, and helped to make our stay in Rome an enjoyable one. They even stored our bags while we went off to Naples and Pompeii and relocated us to the rear of the hotel (away from the road) on our return.
104 stairs to reach the entrance of the hotel - no elevators. Linens old, somehow soiled. Absolutely not non-smoking rooms! Very good location, easy to reach anywhere in Rome. Quiet and pleasant environment. A good stay if the refurbisment ends. Rooms old and needs refurbishment.
A centrally located hotel with friendly staff. 5th floor, elevator didn't work during our stay, but a new one will be put in. Bus stop outside the door, and all major attractions can be reached by foot or bus. High ceiling rooms which are clean, and hotel worth their 3 stars. Would recommend to tourists who enjoy staying at other places than Sheraton and Hilton.
I loved my time at this hotel. The staff were welcoming and always willing to help. My room was plesantly decorated - I was lucky enough to have a view of Rome across the Tiber that was to die for! The hotel building is a beautiful old palazzo. Location is in a good area and a perfect central point for exploring the city. Yes! - I would recomend it to all and I will stay there again.
Adorable hotel. Amazing service. Perfect english. Nice breakfast. Very clean rooms. SPacious and modern bathrooms. Bus located directly outside hotel door to get you to city center.
Delighted with the hotel, especially as its location allowed us to walk to all the major sights; it is very close to the Vatican and the river. Unfortunately the lift was out of order while we were there which made the climb to the top floor a bit tiring but at least it kept us warm (we went in January). Great breakfast buffet. Not sure how the room would be in the heat of the summer as we did not spot any air-conditioning in our room.
