Arcotel Velvet Berlin

A lovely hotel with a modern, arty touch. The room was a little different to the standard stuff so quite refreshing. Suits younger people or generally those who like a more unique touch. Facilities were a little limited - no sauna or fitness but location makes up for it.

A very pleasent stay and a excellent breakfast. Highly recommendable.

Staffs are more than helpful, transportation excellent with U,S-bahn and Metro tram very close to hotel, lots of choices for dining across the street and we had one of the most decious Beef 'ho-fun' in one of the restaurant there. A ride to the airport (Tegel) by taxi is only 18 euros, so if you are carrying too much luggages like we did, then that's a good choice too.

Perfect for this price category. Location - 2 min. to S-bahn and U-bahn, 7 min. walk to Friedrikstraase station. Very good quality room decoration. Only curtain seperates the room from the bath which visually enlarges the space. (a tualet is in a seperate room).

I addition to the above there is also an excellent Austrian restaurant attached. Everything was fantastic and we will definitely stay at this hotel on our next visit to Berlin.

Very good breakfast. No extra facilities but well located near to u-bahn stops. Interesting decor and very clean. Staff friendly but not intrusive.

Nice hotel was new clean and staff were friendly. A little bit of a walk to main attractions but not bad if you like to go on foot.

We really enjoyed our stay, the rooms were very clean and very trendy, from the automatic blinds to the unique bathroom. They had a good choice for breakfast and the bar in the hotel was worth a visit even though the drinks were slightly dearer than outside. Overall a very up to date modern hotel, well worth a visit!

Absolutely fantastic location to see the Mitte area, couldn't be better. Beautiful contemporary hotel with groovy bar lounge opening onto streetscene. Trams right there, U-bahn 'Orangieburger' round the corner, alternative club with beer garden and live bands in the same street, or very trendy expensive bars round the corner, expensive or cheap restaurants close by, or friendly healthy fast food- really couldn't fault it at all- if only the rooms were cheaper! But definately worth 4*.

Situated in the east, modern comfortable hotel. Great restaurant opposite hotel, metro located nearby.

Superbly decorated new hotel in one of Berlin's livelier districts! Some great restaurants and bars around the area and the room was very comfortable with some great high tech features - such as a DVD and flat screen TV. Great views from floor to ceiling windows too. Would definitely stay here again and staff were friendly too.

Very pleased with the hotel

This is a little gem of a hotel - great decor and location, close to restaurants, Museum Island and the fashionable shops of the rejuventated East Berlin.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The room was very modern as was the bathroom. We had a meal in the restaurant which we also enjoyed.

I stayed at the hotel with my friend for four nights and we´ve never been anywhere so clean or friendly! We were very exited about the room, the bar, etc. and the staff were always helpful og kind. I can only recommend it to others travelling to Berlin.

This was a great hotel in a great location. Extrememly clean and comfortable. Easy to get to and from via Public Transport.

Very nice, modern hotel with unusual but pretty design, excellent location, polite young people at the reception. Hope the hotel will keep this high level of service and reasonable rates.
