It is okay for one night sleep. Location is good.
Very good value for money, staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are great. Will definitely stay here again.
Very good value for money. Friendly and helpful staff. Rightly describe themselves as "home from home". New chef had just started when we visited, and the food in the evening was excellent. Would stay there again.
What a lovely, friendly, cosy place to stay! Each staff member I encountered at the Argyll went so far out of his or her way to make me feel comfortable and at home - even remembering to ask how my presentation had gone! I absolutely recommend this hotel!!!!
Good value for money if not expecting frills. Great breakfast and friendly staff.
Would recommend this average priced hotel with clean rooms and excellent breakfast. Good position opposite Kelvingrove museum and art gallery with Glasgow University a short walk away. Near West End. Have stayed 4 times at this hotel in past 2 years.
This hotel was well placed in Glasgow for shopping, restaurants and theatre. A short taxi ride took us to all of above and cost on average £4.00 . Not bad for 5 of us. The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable . The breakfast excellent. Given the price this hotel proved to be excellent value . Would recommend and would return
Hotel in good location. Had dinner in hotel and food quite nice but we had not been told in advance that the bar did not have a licence. Having said that they did provide us with a glass of wine on the house. It would have been nice to relax with a drink in the bar at the end of the evening so a little disappointing.
Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. A very comfortable stay
A really friendly hotel, am definately going to use again when I am next in Glasgow.
Clean and convenient. An enjoyable stay.
Helpful, friendly staff. Good location for SECC, 10 minutes walking. Good breakfast, limited free parking behind hotel but free on street outside hotel at weekend.
Excellent breakfast and service. Room itself was quite small but very very warm and perfectly OK for a short stay.
The breakfast is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Have stayed here several times and obviously think is good value. Staff very friendly, rooms always clean and breakfasts are excellent, they even have free wi-fi internet access. Great if you are wanting to visit the university, Kelvingrove museum or the SEC and good public transport links. Parking, always a problem in Glasgow is limited. but free if you can get it.
Generally I was quite happy, but I expected a lighter room. All I had was a velux type window. This window could only be opened and closed by getting on a chair (I am fairly tall). The Wifi did not work. The radiator made funny noises (probably due to a lot of air in the system). For these reasons I consider the price average, despite the good breakfast.
very small room. a little dusty - not good if you have hay-fever. wobbly toilet seat. good service overall. i guess you get what you pay for
The breakfast was really good, the staff very helpful and friendly.
A very frieldly helpful hotel
short walk to SEC...breakfast very good...
