At first when the taxi drove through back streets we thought "Oh my God what have we come to". However when we arrived we found an excellent little new hotel, clean, and welcoming staff. The Manager even arranged brerakfast when we had our watches incorrect. An excellent location, a short walk to everything.
Arion's room very nice, clean and comfortable. Inspite of narrow street but very close to Metro and all interesting tourist places. Our first time in Athens, we felt safe at Arion. It worth staying.
A good choice if you want to be near the historical center of Athens; though you can find other hotels situated in more central and safe areas with some extra money. If you travel by public transportation, make sure that you use the "Monastiraki" subway station and not the "Omonia" station. The only drawback is that the hotel is next to some notorious neighborhoods of the historical center. Don't wander near Sofokleous street or Theatrou Square after dark because things might go wierd... I've been there and done that and it's not that pleasant! Except the location, the hotel's services were great. I would surely recommend it!
Definately one of the best 3 star hotel to stay when in Athens, nice location with lots of taverna and cafe nearby.
Great location hotel. Room faces church. Clean, chic, great value.
We had a great time at the Arion Hotel. It is in walking distance to everything and has an amazing view from it's rooftop terrace. Would stay at the hotel again!
A very pleasant hotel in a very central position
Nicely modernised, clean (some dust under bed!),hotel in good location. Front rooms have view of Akropolis.
This was the best hotel we stayed in Greece. When you approach the neighborhood you think you are in a bad part of Athens because of all the graffiti. However, we enjoyed this area of Athens and we felt safe. It was "hippier" and less touristy. Everything is within walking distance & we even had a view of the Acropolis! The room and bathroom are very contemporary. As a matter of fact, this was the first bathroom that had a full bath with shower (nice decent sized bathroom). The room we stayed in was very sound proof as well. We got our best sleep, believe it or not, in Athens! The only downside was on our last night the air conditioner broke. We had the window open and that's when we really knew how sound proof this hotel was.
Very nice hotel, near to metro station, shopping centre and ancient town.Very friendly hotel with nice terrace with view at Acropolis-it is marvellous at night.
Nice hotel, good location except at night, when it became very unsavoury.
Location great, good bars and local restaurant nearby. Comfy beds and nice breakfast. Roof top is beautiful.
