Ark Hotel Hiroshima

Staff were very friendly and helpful. It is in an excellet position - 15 minutes walking distance from train (with luggage). Carpet is in urgent need of replacement but that was our only comment on facilities - the room was excellently set out and furniture 'different' but so nice.

The Ark Hotel is very conveniently situated, close to JR Hiroshima station, and within walking distance (20-30 minutes) of the Dome, the Peace Memorial Park and the town centre. It is clean and efficiently run. It also has a pleasant bath-house on the top floor, which is free of charge to guests. These are the main good points of the hotel. On the negative side, my room was extremely small, even by the normal standards of Japanese business hotels, and the bed was very hard indeed, with a pillow that felt like stone. The breakfast, which was included in the room price, was adequate. I might stay here, if I return to Hiroshima, but the sleep problem caused by the uncomfortable bed would make me think twice.

We found the Ark Hotel Hiroshima to offer excellent location (very close to the railway station and to a tram route), very spacious room, good amenities, good breakfast, and would recommend it highly.

the place is good and close to the station. But very small room and old facilities.Not that impressive. The staff are very helpful even they have difficulty speaking english. Buffet breakfast was good.

Excellent hotel and great value for money. Only thing for a foreign visitor staff speak almost no english. Would recommend though for money it costs.

Very convenient coin laundry. Great service from staff. We arrived early so they looked after our baggage before check in time while we looked around Hiroshima.

Very helpful staff even though they didn't speak a lot of English we could make ourselves understood. The hotel was very central, close to station and the tram stops were close. They had free internet which was very good as we didn't have to go searching for an internet cafe which were rare. Close to convenient stores and restaurants.

Check out time very early at 10.00am. No Wi-Fi. LAN connector in room designed to work only with rented PC (for 1000 Yen/night). Good location close to station and tram. Clean room but VERY small- One of the smallest I've ever stayed in. No wardrobe. No space for suitcase stand. Open suitcase filled standing space next to bed! (Suitcase 80x55x25cm)

Close to the Station, which was very convenient. Staff were friendly, but did not have a strong command of english language (compared to the other hotels we visited - with similar star rating and price). Hallways smelt a little of ciggerette, despite being in the "no smoking" room. Room also very small, but clean.

Only a few streets from Hiroshima station. Rooms clean and comfortable but bathroom small. Free internet. Great value as pricing is very good and includes a great buffet breakfast - real bonus. Staff friendly but no facilities to change currency but there is a bank over the road. Would highly recommend.

Excellent location and helpful staff. Room small but to be expected as excellent value. Room had a very good shower. Convenient tram service nearby. We would definitely stay again.

Easy to get to from Shinkansen. Trams to Peace Park and downtown a minutes walk from front door. Would stay here again.

The smallest room I stayed in in Japan, but then this is supposed to be one of the things to experience. The place was clean, the breakfast good, the staff friendly and I even had a river view from my room. The Hotel is close to the station, towards the centre. I found this location very convenient. Only regret is that I didn't get around to try out the Japanese bath on the top floor, which is included in the price.hotel
