Getting there:The nearest metro station is "Porte de Montreuil" on line number 9. It's a two minutes walk to the Hotel Armstrong: just go up the Boulevard Davout on the left-hand pavement (past the brasserie "Le Davout" and a laundrette) and you will find the hotel in the first road on your left. From the airports either take a taxi which is the quickest or else the train service into Paris and then the metro. By car take the périphérique ring road and exit at "Porte de Montreuil". You will climb up onto a large roundabout and should take the exit off it where it is indicated "Pte. de Montreuil". Turn right at the McDonald's along the "Boulevard Davout" and then sharp left at the first set of traffic lights. Cross over the next set of lights and the Hotel Armstrong will be in front of you on the left.

My family & me had a wonderful experience staying at the hotel. Cooperative staff, close proximity to Porte de Montreuil Metro station, restaurants and amenities are plus points. Free Wifi and internet facilities, also complimentary hot drinks. Room a bit small though but OK for the price. Overall, superb experience. Will frequent this place again next time in Paris
It was raining the day I arrived but we could still go round because the tube station was very near. Furthermore, the hotel recommended a good Chinese Restaurant, so we felt very happy with our stay. The breakfast at 8 euro was adequate but of course we hoped it was cheaper. I would recommend this hotel.
I failed to master the wifi connection - the signal was evidently 100% - but the system would not work with my laptop. That of course could have been entirely my fault. Perhaps a guide would have been useful.
Room with no kettle, need asking for hot water every time! no air conditioning, will be very hot in the summer! nere metro station, ED shop (like lido) on the way.
Excellent hotel for the price.
I would recommend this budget hotel to anyone .If you want luxury go and stay at a big hotel but if you want friendly and reliable staff ,a connection to all parts of Paris by Metro and a proper taste of real French people then here is your hotel. The Metro is only two minutes away and in twenty minutes we were on an open top bus from the Lovre! The bar was open when you needed a drink and breakfst was lovely. At night the city is still vibrant but that is to be expected so close to the Periphique but there is easy access to the airport(CDG), Eurodisney and Asteriskworld.Room was basic but clean and if you like your decor--go stay in Dubai.A fantastic holiday and Aerosmith were brilliant Ian
good location and price, room didnt compare to picture shown, much smaller and alot darker even with curtains pulled. Breakfast was ok, cold buffet. Ok other than some aspects of the room
I love the location with markets so close and all transport, including a cheap bus transfer to Charles de Gaulle Airport. The receptionist was most helpful, even telling us about the new ethnographic museum, which was excellent.
The daytime staff were nice and helpful, but night staff was not. The location was a bit far away from the city centre, and felt a bit unsafe, especially to an Asian.
Nice, friendly, well spoken staff, helpful and uninvasive. The metro is just a minute away when you first find it, and there is a Mediterrainean-style deli/resteraunt just 5 minutes ago that stays open late, which was handy the night we arrived.
The hotel is good for those on a budget. Breakfast was good and facility was clean and quiet.
We had a pleasant stay. The hotel was well located to go the centre of Paris. We could take the subway, and in something like 20 minutes, we were in the centre. This was very convenient. We will visit Paris another time, and than maybe we will stay again.
Close to Metro, easy to get to, staff friendly and helpful, day-staff spoke English well, great shopping nearby.
This hotel is great value - the rooms were small but we had a private bath with shower. The staff spoke five languages, helped with arrangements for airport shuttles and tours and were helpful with metro information and guidance. The breakfast buffet may be the best deal in Paris - great selection of all foods. The hotel also has internet access, a sauna, and a bar open in the evenings for drinks and coffee. The metro is a short walk from the hotel. We would stay there again.
It is clean, the beds are comfortable, showers are good, and the staff are friendly and speak excellent english. The free breakfast lets you get a good start to the day. The metro is literally right around the corner, so seeing the daytime sights is very convienent. Overall, good value.
This hotel is very near to a Metro station and there are some average to good restaurants within fairly easy walking distance. The staff were excellent. We had a rather small double room on the ground floor but believe there are bigger rooms on the floors above served by the lift. The hotel is not really all that close to the Bastille but was very competitively priced. Very good breakfast in pleasant room. Internet cafe. Small but pleasant bar and seating area.
The staff were very helpful, and friendly. The room was adequate and it was warm - which was good as it was freezing in Paris during our stay. I would return there if I was visiting again.
Clean Hotel with very good breakfast. Compared to many other hotels in the same price category, this is one of the best I have experienced.
This accommodation is ideal for budget holidays and is real value for money. It located very close to a metro station that has easy routes to all the major tourist atttractions.
Good budget hotel that is not too far from the metro station (Porte de Montreuil). It takes about 15 mins to get to the centre of Paris and see all the sights - so if you're after a budget hotel then Armstrong would be a good pick. I would come back to this hotel again.
