Arnoma Hotel Bangkok

It is our second time that we have been staying in this hotel. The staff is friendly and always helpful. The breakfast is manageable, though not outstanding. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the bathroom adequate/basic , but not luxurious. The only real criticism I have is the internet connection. The cheapest package is unlimited downloads for 7 days, which cost you 1000Bath (~33US$) for a connection running at snails pace at best! For that money you may opt to buy a USB modem and a SIM card for 3G (for one month).

Having stayed there on a number of occasions I simply chose this hotel again for the price and the location. It really is very outdated and in need of refurbishment. The grouting in the bathroom already borders on disgusting and the carpet could also do with a facelift. Can't complain about the staff although when I booked a massage (BHT 750) after checking out I could not use my hairdryer (the one supplied is little more than a "breath") or any other appliances as they only supply adaptors to rooms. Mind you the massages aren't exactly cheap and I think I'd rather pay the extra 250BHT to get a late check out next time to have my privacy.

It is centrally located with many shopping malls. Opposite is the central world and next to hotel there is a big supermarket (big C supermarket).I always chose to stay in this hotel when I come to Bangkok.

Stayed 3 nites. Don ever take if you are given room no. 1206 coz you will be checking into a washing machine. Me n daughter spend our 1st nite in this room n v were unable to sleep due to the noise. Our request to change room the very morning was done quickly by the staff. Staff are very polite n helpful and room is clean but old. Maybe a bit upgrading is needed.

Hotel rooms were ok and I got a good price but the main things about this hotel is its location acros from central world.

Good location & service, especially for shopping & dining. You can get local food elsewhere with reasonable price. Of course if you are looking for branded things, it just at your door step !!

Good lacation but massive jammed area if you want to head to Patumum area and the traffice just standstill for an hour to 2 hours depend on the timing......especially 4pm to 6 pm daily.....Mad house Jam!

The Arnoma is in the hub of BKK, unfortunately also in the centre of political demonstrations. The November of these turned out fine but the ones in May did not. The hotel itself has the most excellent and friendly service. The meal deals in November were most reasonable. The room is on the small side and a little dingy but very clean. The bathroom ditto. The treatment at the spa or rather fitness centre was well priced and very good. The hotel is older but makes up for this in other ways. A well priced, pleasant hotel.

This was my 3rd or 4th stay at the Arnoma Hotel and I think the rooms really need some updating. However my reason for staying there is the close proximity to Central World Plaza without spending a fortune on accommodation. Breakfast was included in the price and there is always a fairly good variety of foods on offer. I do hope that when they decide on renovating they will keep the room rates reasonable.

Staff are super friendly and helpful. Location is excellent and within walking distance to many shopping centers. I would definitely stay here if i visit Bangkok again.

Location is good, within walking distance to Malls & BTS station, no doubt a plus point in traffic congested Bangkok. Breakfast spread is ok, but would be good if they add varieties to the menu daily.

This is the place to stay if you like a central location for shopping, eating and commuting to other parts of Bangkok. It is reasonably-priced, the staff was very friendly/ helpful, and security was visible. We didn't use much of the hotel's facilities, as we were out for most of the day. The room was very clean, comfortable, and did not reek of stale smoke or old carpets, like some other hotels that we had stayed in Bangkok. It is within short walking distance (5-8 minutes) from the major shopping complexes like Paragon, Zen, Central, Platinum, Gaysorn Plaza, and Big C (the Big C supermarket is a must-visit for those who want to get Zebra brand stainless steel cookware, wacoal lingerie, and cheap sportswear). Arnoma Hotel is also 5 minutes away from the Chitlom BTS Skytrain, and you can take a cool shortcut through Gaysorn Plaza. The only drawback is eating the same fare for breakfast every morning of your stay there (but who goes to Bangkok for the hotel breakfast anyway?).

Centrally located. Helpful and friendly doormen, lift attendants and room maids except the check-in staff.

Generally, it is a nice hotel with good location. However, the breakfast items are basically the same every day so it gets quite boring after a while. Further, it would be better if they serve yogurt in a pre-packed cup rather than home-made yogurt.
