A great hotel in a great location, i stay there every time i go to Melbourne, great art, exceptional service

Great hotel with so much character and staff always willing to help and go the extra distance. Two terrific restaurants adjacent to the hotel and the location is perfect for a fix of shopping, coffee and dining around South Yarra. Tram stop just out the front makes it easy to get to and from the CBD. Rooms are a good size and kitted out well, and with the artwork theme through the whole hotel it's perfect for a special weekend away, we celebrated our first annniversary at the Cullen and will stay again next time we're in Melbourne.

Great location funky style hotel. I was on business and the room is not practical as only has a small round table for working from. This is more for a tourist. Very small bathroom/toilet with stupid glass walls, ok if you like to watch someone on the toilet whilst you are in bed. Housekeeping was bad as i stayed several days and always had to ask for tea bags etc to be replaced, even the toilet paper. This was quickly replaced by desk staff, but annoying that everyday i had to ask. Unless you like donkeys and more donkeys, the art work is crap.

Great location and friendly staff. Room was also good except the pillows were very uncomfortable, it would be good if they offered some different ones.

The Cullen hotel provides a slightly different experience from a normal hotel with the hotel having paintings by Cullen throughout the hotel and art installations within the shared spaces. A great hotel with a good vibe.

Very stylish and modern hotel was a welcome change from the bland chains. The room was large and the kitchenette facilities were handy - the Prahran markets are opposite and supermarkets a short walk away We watched the sunsets over the Bay while eating home cooked dinner. The yum cha dishes at the HuTong Restaurant below are excellent, if pricey (note they are ordered, not on trolleys). Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only negative was the expensive and limited parking in the basement.

A lovely Hotel. Great location right near the Prahran Market and Chapel Street shopping. Very helpful and friendly staff. Meals excellent. Highly recommend for a hassle free stay!

I think this is a fantastic hotel. Priced at about $200 it is well under any comparable 5 star establishment. Staff are friendly, beds are the best anywhere.

Outstanding rooms, but parking very crowded

Hotel booking error saw us down-graded from a (pre-paid) Deluxe Studio Suite to a Standard Studio. Having booked for a 'milestone' birthday, this was very disappointing. Said they'd look after us 'next time' but who knows when that will be. However, great hotel, great location, exceptional food on site, and probably too close for comfort to Prahan Markets' wonderful produce. Amazing art work throughout.

Really warm, friendly reception staff, who I thought were making small talk asking if we were there for a special occasion but a few moments after checking into our room, Jessica arrived with a bottle of champagne & a card to congratulate us on our wedding anniversary. Lovely, unexpected, personal touch! Spoilt for choice at the Bistro downstairs for breakfast - delicious! Wish we'd known about the Hutong restaurant downstairs as would have liked to try that too. Will definitely go back!

The Hotel ws extremely comfortable we had the Deluxe Balcony room, the staff were fanastic and the location was excellent. We will be back.

As I had 2 continuous bookings I had to change rooms from a twin queen suite to a king suite.I thought I would be disappointed but both Rooms are great. Well laid out. Great kitchenettes, bathrooms are all glass but still discreet, and the beds are fantastic . The location marvelous, with excellent restaurants either underneath or surrounding. The Tram is at the door and the train is a very short walk.There is great security within the hotel. Rooms are quiet. There is a gym and a guest laundry. Top Class.I would highly recommend this hotel.
