Getting there:By car From the south: on the A1 highway, take the Firenze Sud exit. Drive along viali di Circonvallazione following the indications to Firenze centro. Reach piazza della Libert and go straight until you reach piazza S. Marco. Proceed on via Cavour, turn left in via Alfani, and then right in via dei Servi. From the north: on the A1 highway, take the Firenze Nord exit and follow the indications to Fortezza da Basso. Drive along viale Spartaco Lavagnini and then take via S. Caterina d'Alessandria, towards piazza S. Marco. Follow on via Cavour, turn left in via Alfani and finally right in via dei Servi. By train The Santa Maria Novella railway station lies about 1.5 km from the property. You can reach the hotel by taxi, easily found at the station, or by one of the several bus lines available to piazza S. Marco, for example numer 17 or 30, and then walk for a few metres.

The hotel staff and location of this hotel made it the perfect place to stay. Its truly excellent and I recommend to every one, although I really want to keep this place to myself.
This hotel was great. The location - in between The Duomo and the church of the Ascension couldn't have been better. The room was a corner one with great views - clean, with high ceilings and good towels. Hotel reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. Out of hours access was easy. The breakfast times are strict they close at 0930. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and will be using it again ourselves. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

This is a smallish hotel in a very central part of Florence, just steps away from the Duomo and not far from scores of great resturants and trattorias. Service was great - very approachable staff. They even helped us with phone bookings for the Uffizi and Academia, without which we would have had to stand in line for much longer to get in. Our room was airy and a spacious L-shaped configuration. The rooms face a pizzeria which can get a little noisy at night, but the windows are double glazed so that wasn't a big deal. All in all a great find.
This is a lovely, small hotel, right in the heart of Florence, just a stone's throw from everything you might wish to see, with views of the Duomo. The room was spotless and traditionally furnished (ours had a four poster bed). The breakfast room on the top floor was delightful and there was a lovely roof terrace with tables overlooking the rooftops around. The staff were well informed and very helpful in suggesting restaurants etc. I would recommend this hotel unreservedly.
