Artis Hotel Vienna

Nice hotel, friendly staff good location. nice buffet breafast hotel need to introduce airconditioners in their rooms very stuffy in the summer. Easy accessibility to transport and to sight seeing places with convenience......take the tram 71 and a few minutes into the main city centre......

The hotel is about 5min by S Bahn train from Vienna city centre the staff were very helpful despite being under pressucre by the number of visitors the food and accomodation were good value for money

the rooms facing the street are too noisy and you can't close the window because there is no air conditioning.

Great location -excellent connection to the airport Vienna from Rennweg station is about 20 minutes by S-bahn.It costs 3,60 euros for an adult ( one way ticket). No air condition!!!Be prepared for a noise-busy street and a restaurant at the back.

Very good hospitality, reception and restaurant staff are so friendly, breakfast v good, and very close to center, price is good,but no aircondition. I would stay there again.

This is a well situated hotel in close proximity to Rennweg train station and the Sudbahnhoff - excellent for training to and from the airport and incursions by train into other parts of Europe. A reasonably priced hotel for Vienna - not really 4 star - but perfectly adequate. Rooms are small - but have everything one needs. Really comfortable bed! Very friendly, courteous and helpful staff, most of whom spoke English well and tolerated my attempts at schoolboy German with good humour. Buffet breakfast was really good and started off the day well - we rarely needed lunch, which is a real bonus given the price of meals in Vienna. I would happily stay there again if travelling on a budget!

Breakfast was excellent, room (single, 8th floor) not too big but OK, bathroom (especially shower) rather small.

The room was clean and new refurbished. Very noisy with the window open as situated on a main road. This was however convenient when wanting to catch the tram. Breakfast was hot and cold buffet and the best I have ever seen (In Europe). No aircon which was not good as it was very hot.

The location of the hotel is very good - 5 minutes with tram till center. But I think this hotel is typically 3 star hotel not 4 star, with poor service and average clenliness in rooms. the greatest disadvantage - rooms are practically wihout air condition and in August it is very difficult to sleep without open window, on the other side there are large traffic undreneath the window and therefore noise. Please, take care also with Pay-TV - I had payed for non-seeing film - you can simply activate PayTV without your desire - the TV panel is quite stupid

We stayed at the Artis Hotel in Vienna for two nights in May 2008. It was a very nice experience. The hotel is a 15 minut walking distance from the Ring strasse (the main street), average size, with small rooms, but very delicious hot and cold breakfast buffet ( including sereal, dairy, fruts and nuts) We liked it a lot. Very clean rooms and bathroom, as well as breakfast area. Staff members are polite and helpful. Price is fare according to the location. The only down side personally for me was no internet service. That wasn't a big deal though, because internet cafe was practically next door for the price of 2Uros per hour.

This hotel is really well located and close to both an S-bahn station, a tram stop and really only a 15 minute walk into town. The restaurant staff can be a little stroppy but the reception staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and basic, but what reviews on other traveller's boards say is quite true - the bathrooms are tiny and poorly ventilated.

Maybe the hotel should equip the room with more facilties like a water heater ( for drinking ) , tea and coffee .

The Artis hotel is located near the city center, it has very good connection with airport by S-Bahn (Suburban Rail) and station (Wien Rennweg) is about 100 m from hotel door. The room and bathroom were small but clean. Very good breakfast.

This hotel was lovely and staff were very helpful. We arrived early and they got our room ready ASAP. Breakfast was lovely.

Location away from main center of Wien, but good access to both train and tram. Excellent buffet breakfast and good service from reception
