Arts Hotel Sydney Guest Reviews

5 out of 5

The Arts hotel Sydney was in an excellent location for markets, boutiques and eateries. The accommodation was basic, but very clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definately stay there again.

I had a most enjoyable stay. The hotel is starting to age a little but it is very reasonably priced and if not staying at the flahest place but rather enjoying the friendly service and great location at a very reasonable price this s the place for you. It is definitely a great place for visiting GLBT people being lcated in the Gay Golden m Mile One quibble: it would be goos to have onsect screens on the windows that open. I liked the fact that you could open the window but on the first night the msquitos took a gobble at me.

Conveniently located boutique hotel in Paddington close to cinema, bookshops and coffee and a short walk to some of Sydneys great small hotels e.g The London and numerous intimate restaurants with a diverse choice of cuisines. Healthy breakfast and friendly staff. Makes a delightful change from the impersonal 5 star choices - with serious change in your pocket. I'll certainly be back.

Fantastic position, however rooms very small and fittings outdated, no extras like shampoo or hair dryer. Staff friendly.

Good, comfortable hotel with helpful staff. A bit of distance from the city centre but bus stops outside hotel. Clean & pleasant swimming pool.

Overall, the hotel was good. It was clean (aside from one incident with a giant waterbug in our room); it was central to various attractions (Paddington area); and it was in a safe area. The room was small and the price seemed a bit steep, but I suppose that's the average for Sydney during the summer. I would stay here again if you're looking for a central location with a reasonable price compared to the surrounding area.

Good location on Oxford Street, within easy walking distance of Moore Park (Sydney Football grounds), with many good book stores, pubs, arts cinemas and cafes nearby. Good sized rooms, though shower/toilet a bit small. If you are bothered by street noise take a garden room or a room on the back. Friendly and helpful staff. I have no complaints about the hotel and will stay here again. Public transport not that good in the area - but, hey, we are talking about Sydney here! Lousy public transport in most areas. Not the hotel's fault.

We were very pleased with staff's courtesy and assistance during our recent visit to see a critically ill relative at St Vincents Hospital. Your staff remained extremely polite and co-operative despite my initial confusing (mulyiple) bookings, followed by cancellations when our brother passed away. Thanks to everone who was involved.

The rooms on the street side are very noisey and we were unable to close the "2nd" door to the balcony which would have reduced the noise further but it is a great location with lots to see and do within walking distance.

Very convienent hotel, just a little tired. Little things like no bar soap were annoying and the old style hair dryers!

Twin room, front of hotel, wouldn't recommend for the noise factor, request a quiet room and a double (unless you need the twin), very small room, and frankly just tired decor etc. Could use a refurb! However fantastic location if you want to be near the SRS, SCG, or just in Oxford St with all the fab cafes and stores.

As a medium priced hotel in a good location for access to Paddington galleries, markets, cinemas, bookshops and clothes and convenient food and transport Sullivans is hard to beat in Sydney.

The rooms facing the main road are noisy, but I was moved to a garden room at my request which proved very satisfactory. The hotel is well located and the staff are very friendly and competent. I would definately stay there again.

Fantastic location for the footy and being right on Oxford St, surrounded by fantastic cafes, shops, and cinemas. Amazing place for chocolates (Just William, on William St, not to mention the sublime shops down that road), Paddington Mkts, 2 fabulous fruit shops, three awesome bookstores, not to mention the Kahuna massage across the road and being on the bus line to either the city or Bondi! Ok, the rooms etc are a little tired but who really spends a lot of time in the room when you are surrounded by all the wonders of Oxford St.
