Ascott Sathorn Bangkok Residence

My forth visit to the Ascott in two years resident manager Jason knows all about this constant problem, unfortunately, will not be staying again, I have complained in 4 occasions that their TV reception is poor, and needs upgrading with signal boosters on each floor. this same problem occurs at two other Ascott properties in Bangkok Somerset Suanplu Lake point the regional manager Valter informed but has done nothing to date especially for Somerset Suanplu where the problem has existed for 5 years

first time staying at Ascott. Lots of space good for family. Location a bit away from shopping and restaurants.

Very nice business apartment hotel. Nice pool and italian restaurant. Lousy breakfast buffet.

Great value for money. Quiet hotel good for working. Nice pool and good italian restaurant. The 75 m2 apartment I enjoyed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was lousy and I only tried it once.

This is a wonderful place to stay, we had a 2 bedroom apartment, sheer luxury, lots of space, nice pool, breakfast included and 4mins walk to the sky train. Downside, its Aldo's restaurant is very expensive for what you get, though the location is romantic. Room rates also steep with no reduction for longer stays.

This is a lovely place to stay, we had a 2 bedroom apt for 3 nights, its very close to the BTS, less than 5 mins easy walk. My only consideration is the price because there are so few tourists in Thailand at the moment (July 09) and we found we could stay else where with the same facilities for half the price. Aldo,s restaurant by the pool is a perfect setting but beware of the cost and a big service charge is automatically added.

Athough we only stayed 1 night, we would have loved to stay longer. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Check in & out service was quick. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. A beautiful apartment & spacious too especially the bathroom. Price was very reasonable and well worth the stay. Very comfortable & new. Located in the business district; not much around for tourist but is easily accessible to tourist destination & shopping centres - about 15mins drive. Well worth the consideration.

The Ascott was a fantastic hotel if you are looking for a world away from the craziness of Bangkok! It is central to get anywhere for shopping and general Bangkok activities, yet far enough away that you can escape the mania if you need to.

Everything was very very good for us. Value of staying there is perfect. Worth it.

This service apartment is top notch. Clean and stylish rooms. Great facilities including a very large and modern gym. The staff remembered me from my previous stay and welcomed me back with a smile. The only negative comment I have is about the breakfast buffet. I was disappointed in the quality of the food. The kitchen could use a better cook!!

Have used hotel before but was very disappointed to find the room I got was much smaller than anticipated and was actually on the interior of the building (looked out over walkway and lobby of hotel). Definitely not what I had experienced before. Also found out on arrival breakfast was not included (thought it was). Rooms are also not being maintained as well as they could....still a lovely hotel but they need to ensure that the place doesn't start to get run down like so many other locations in Bangkok.

Lovely hotel when you want a little extra on your trip. Best gym I've been too is you want to work out. Also, if you have a late checkout you can always go back to the hotel later in the day and shower/change in the gym/spa area prior to your flight. Will definitely stay again.

One-bedroom seemed a little bit small - overall very high level of service, nice pool. Wifi is extortionately expensive, though.

We stayed at The Ascot Bangkok Sathorn apartments in a Premier (99sqm)one bedroom apartment for 3 nights in April 2007. The rate was excellent ($99U.S!) and the apartment HUGE! Everything was perfectly clean and in fabulous condition, our son loved the two T.Vs! Pool was beautiful (although somewhat cold!) and the restuarant next to it, lovely. The japanese restuarant down stairs was also fabulous. Breakfast was great too! I had Two massages at the spa which were the best! We had a FANTASTIC time at this service apartment and would definately recommend to anyone looking for space and a kitchen while staying in Bangkok. The location isnt bad either. Just down the road to river for the ferry service or walk to skytrain, only downside is not many restuarants near by, but then you can order anything to be delivered!!!
