On a side road in Kensington lays the newly opened Ashburn hotel. With 38 bedrooms this hotel has had a complete makeover and the new owners have turned this property into a luxury boutique hotel. Hosting dark wooden characteristic furniture combined with new technology, comfortable beds and modern pieces in all the bedrooms, this hotel aims to get the small touches right; the big tea cups, the surprise turndown gift, (different every night) to the cosy bathrobes and slippers. Ashburn Hotel has been beautifully converted from a fine 19th century London townhouse and offers luxurious bedrooms, with all the facilities you would expect from a prestigious new 4-star hotel. There is a delightful drawing room, serving light meals all day and drinks from the bar 24 hours a day for resident guests; there is also a peaceful, airy breakfast room, as well as complimentary wireless internet access and air-conditioning throughout. Hotel is great. Short walk about a block to the tube station which will you have in the center of things quickly. Daytime staff is extremely helpful. Concierge was great help to us. He was able to book some tours for us and provide all the directions and info that we needed. He's a definite gem. Busy street outside but never heard it in our room. Housekeeping left a little gift every day. Breakfast was adequate. Would definitely stay there again.
Very comfortable hotel although the air conditioning only circulated air (rather than cooling it) on the hottest day of our stay - but the rest of the time it worked OK. At the price we paid, it is certainly good value
Great stay, most helpful staff, good location, very clean and neat, good size room for London, not the cheapest...but worth the difference. We would highly recommend it.
Great place to stay for Harrods, Museums etc. Warm welcome with complimentary coffee in the room and glass of champagne in evening is a lovely touch. Breakfast was a little limited and the milk was warm. I do like cold milk on my cereal! Otherwise everything was great. Oh and underfloor heating in the bathroom. I liked that!
Lovely hotel, we had a deluxe room which was a large room by London standards with beautiful decor. The staff were very helpful and professional. We will stay here again.
I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights on a business trip to London. It exceeded my expectations, with lovely touches throughout the stay - champagne in the evening, small gifts with the turndown at night, excellent service. Highly recommended.
This is one of the best hotels that I have stayed in, as a frequent business traveller to London. Excellent.
Amazing hotel... staff were extremely friendly and helpful (managed to find me a toothbrush and some toothpaste at 11.30pm). Great breakfast. Great rooms. Great location about 2 mins walk from Gloucester Road tube. Would definitely stay again...
Prices may be a bit in the high end, but you get a very nice room in a decent size, big tub, nice breakfast and good location near the tube (Circle line). Highly recommendable if you want to upgrade your London visit with a nice hotel experience.
Beautiful hotel in a very nice area of London, 2 minutes from the tube station and with many bars, resturants and shops nearby.
