Getting there:Aspect Tamar Valley Resort is perfectly positioned approximately 10 minutes drive North of the Launceston CBD. Using GPS? Use the address Atkinsons Road, Legana. Atkinson Road becomes Waldhorn Dr. From the highway intersection, the resort can be found 3km on the right hand side. If you are arriving from the Launceston Airport, follow the signs to the City of Launceston. Do not take any turns just stay on the main highway into the City from the Airport. When in the Launceston CBD take the (A7) West Tamar Highway by turning left at the York Street intersection. The Resort is then approximately 10 minutes drive North of the Launceston CBD via the West Tamar (A7) Highway, to "Grindelwald" As you approach the 2nd round about which is approx 10 minutes drive from the CBD, the Woolworths Legana shopping centre is located on your right. Travel ahead through the round about for approx 1km, then turn left into Atkinson Road & travel 2 minutes up the hill.
Check-in Procedure:Check In is available 24 Hours a Day - 7 Days a Week. After 8pm the After Hours manager will gladly assist with your check in requirements. This property requires any cancellation or date change to be made at least 72 hours prior to the property's check in time to avoid forfeiting the full amount of the booking. If Rollaway Beds are requested for guests of any age in addition to the Existing Bedding already provided in the room an additional $50 per night for each Rollaway Bed will apply.

Excellent quiet location with lots to do especially for a family, a quaint little Swiss village with a relaxing atmosphere.
A beautiful place, we could have stayed there for good.
Very clean and very well appointed chalet. The only negative from our stay (6 Days) was that they were unable to fix the t.v. which had bad reception on several of the channels. We missed two cricket matches.
No phone provided in self-contained units (which are scattered around main accommodation complex) so no quick contact with service desk. Location very pretty but well away from local towns.

We had a very comfortable to nights accommodation that was complemented by friendly personable service from reception staff. The housekeeping was of a high standard - compliments to "Kelly".

The location & resort is great for a relaxing break, good recreational facilities - swimming pool etc. Some rooms do not have telephone / internet, which is great for a getaway, if you wish to stay connected during your break it could be a negative.
we travelled all around Tasmania making about 12 overnight stops ,Aspect Tamar Vally resort was clearly the best!
A lovely,pleasant place to stay. High up in the hills, with privacy and peacefullness.
Our cottage was spacious and had beautiful views across the resort and valley. Kids loved the jumping pillow, feeding the ducks, the swimming pool and hiring two-seater bikes. Mini-golf course included little ponds with nets to fish out stray balls (lots of fun and laughter). This resort has so many family activities, including board games for hire, an arcade games room and canoe hire. It's also an easy (20 minutes?) drive to central Launceston. Positioning the jumping pillow within the grounds of the restaurant and within view of parents dining is an inspired move!
Chalet was compact but good for a short stay. Not sure if it would be okay for longer stays. Only small table & 2 chairs outside to eat at otherwise would have to sit on lounge to eat. Okay for summer but not sure about winter.

Food, room and location great
Great value for money. One comment I would like to post is the cabin map that was provided was extremely inaccurate. Cabins have been added to existing chalets and on the site map they have been indicated by an oval adjacent to existing buildings. At night the numbering was confusing to say the least and they were not very well displayed. The avoid confusing numbering, perhaps a more accurate site map would (to scale and proper location and size) would greatly assist future guests. Other than that particular issue, our stay was fantastic and the hot breakfast was excellent. The breakfast which was included in our booking, was the major determining factor in our decision to book at the resort. Thank you.
The room was wonderful and the spa in our room was such luxury. The resort is so full of activities for children and adults it was a real holiday... Will be staying again really enjoyed our stay, thank you...
