We are a contemporary motel opened in October 2006. We take great pride in the presentation, cleanliness and comfort of our units. We are located only 2 minutes drive to central Kaikoura, making us a suitable base for your activities around Kaikoura. As prevention is far better than cure, we have recently implemented a 5 star Hygiene Program which is independently audited, to provide and reassure our guest we have set a new standard of caring for our guests and to assure you every effort has been made to ensure your room has been hygienically cleaned with steam instead of harsh chemicals, sanitised and insect free. With these specific procedures, every attempt is made to provide our room indoor environment is bacteria and virus free upon arrival, all for the safety and comfort of you, our guests. With a range of studios to choose from we have a room to suit most budgets. The central guest lounge/foyer opens into the courtyard and has a private BBQ area at the back section. Most units open up to balcony or courtyard with varying views of the Kaikoura Ranges. A variety of Breakfasts are available. Reception is open daily from 8am till 9pm. If you expect to arrive after hours please make contact on day of arriving to get key details and directions to find your room. 25 December is the only day of the year where there is no housekeeping services available Don't just take our word for it, come and see for yourself... Well worth a visit!

Getting there:From the South (Christchurch) follow State Highway 1 past the turn off in to central Kaikoura. Travel towards Picton on Beach Road (State Highway 1). Aspen Court is on the right hand side of the road just after the supermarket/shopping complex. Signage on the street. Travelling from the North (Picton) upon entering the town (State Highway 1 - Beach Road) Aspen Court is on the left hand side of the road with signage in the carpark.
Check-in Procedure:Check in between 2 pm and 9pm. If reception unattended pick up the phone at the front entrance and you will be attended to immediately. Please ring on day of arrival if you expect to arrive after 9pm and we will give key details to you.
Car parking:FREE Off street parking
Child Policy:Whilst children are welcome, the configurations of our rooms would mean you may require a rollaway bed or request a triple room (2 available, with Super King and a single bed). Please note there are no playground facilities on site, sorry.
my daughter and i enjoyed our stay at aspen court kaikour,what a well set out motel,although our room was small,it was lovely and clean and the decore was first class.close to the shops etc;the manager was very friendly great asset to the motel well done i certainly will recommend to others.
Very comfortable and clean, well looked after. Directly behind a train line, so was woken up by freight trains during the night. Can't access the beachfront from from he motel - need to drive. Very comfy beds!

Clean, comfortable motel with superb views of mountains and sea. Friendly owner who has gone out of his way to add extra luxuries to the room. Little out of town if you don't have a car. Would stay again.
Very nice new motel on the edge of town. Good service and a good quality spacious room. Maybe a little pricey?
Room was good, with microwave. Room also looked up to date (i.e. not aged in appearance). Only problem with top floor room is that you have to use stairs which makes it harder to take luggage up.

Great new hotel, location is a pain unless you have a car ( I didn't). It's quite a walk away from the centre. The room was really nice and big, great facilities. There's a mini kitchen on the floor where you can make tea and coffee. Staff were nice too. There's a supermarket on the way into the centre which is useful to know!

A short drive from the main 'centre' of Kaikoura. Railway line runs along back of property but this is not really an issue. Would definitely recommend.
Very modern, clean and comfortable, everything was at an extra cost which made it more costly than we thought it would be.

Just a bit further out of town than most would enjoy, but it was only a 15-20 minute walk to town and 5 more to the train. En-suite rooms were very nice and cozy and all had great views of either the mountains or ocean. Highly recommend if you don't mind the walk or have a car.
I loved the Spa-Shower and had the best night's sleep in a long time on the super-comfy bed!! I will definatley go back again :-)
Very helpful and happy staff.
This is a first class property with lovely decor and facilities. Out of walking distance from the centre of Kaikoura which would be a slight detraction if you have no car. There is a convenient supermarket and restaurant though. The property is immaculate and very well run.
