Good customer service, good English, very firendly staff. We will back again.
Initially difficult to find as I was dropped off over the road. It is tucked away down the drive away to the right. No complaints at all

Great value. Friendly staff. Convenient to public transportation.
Stayed from 9 to 11 July 2010. The single room is clean and cozy with good breakfast.
Asset Hotel was fine for a short stay - I would want a little more room to relax in if staying for several days. The breakfast food options were a little limited, but not too bad. The room was tidy, though without alot of extra space. It is a bit of a walk to the nearest metro, but apart from that I have no complaints. It is within walking distance of central Shanghai (north along Wan Ping Nan Lu), if shopping is your thing.
we stay in Asset Hotel for three days.It is a very nice, little and clean place with friendly and helpful staff & definitely very good value for money.
The service is good and the rooms are clean. However, the location is not so convinient. The price is also a little expensive. All in all, it was an acceptable stay.
Good service
Clean room and very good service !
I so personally recommend this hotel. and would still be my hotel of choice when i get back to Shanghai pretty soon. ;D love the place. love the people. love the atmosphere. it just made my stay in Shanghai warm and a very relaxing one. kudos Asset hotel! especially to their very hospitable and attending staff, Alice and Simmon. ;D
The room, bedsheets, pillows are clean and the service is good. The front desk receptionist and the doorman are very helpful. They suggested things to do and see in Shanghai and the doorman (the tall one ,did not get his name) always greeted me when I went out and even advised about the weather ; and if my clothing is sufficiently warm enough for the cold windy morning. Due to the warm and helpfulness of the service staff, I extended another 4 days (total 8 days) stay in the hotel after cancelled my Beijing trip due to the sandstorm. The downside is that the hotel does not have its own restaurants but in the neighbourhood there are many small eateries of dumplings and noodles, bakeries and cafes. The location is OK for the room price in that it's a 5-7 mins walk to the subway line 4 and 7 to connect to other lines for places to want to visit. The entrance to the hotel is not obvious from Wanping South Road, it is actually off Lingling Road, enter through a small lane.
I enjoyed my stay here. The hotel staff were great and always helpful, very freindly and professional. Housekeeping was done daily and it was a very clean hotel. Good strong hot shower and nice bathroom with good lighting. The hotel is an older 4 star style and could do with an update / a refurbishment. The matresses are very hard, although I'm not sure if this is the type of bed chinese sleep on as I found I had a hard matress in my Hong Kong hotel too. So that was a little uncomfortable, but i got by, I asked for another doona, folded it in half and placed it ontop of the matress for extra comfort. If I had too, I'd stay there again. It's close to two metro stations, walking distance the promonent one being Shanghai Stadium.
I booked an economy room, so I didn't expect much, and the room was quite tight for one or two persons since it had a double bed. But that was ok since I was out most of the time anyway and just stayed in the room to bathe, sleep and surf the net. For such a low price, I was pleased that there was room heating and strong hot water in the coldest of days, a decent breakfast (though there was no change in offer for the two days), and great customer service, even if there was little English. Overall, I left with a positive impression of this hotel.
A standard business hotel, with somewhat smaller rooms and not quite the spit and polish of the top end hotels (that cost three-six times as much). But definitely everything you could ask for in an easy, hassle free stay. Check in/out was very smooth. Room security was faultless - card based rooms. Bed, bathroom and everything were totally clean. Everything in the room was as you'd expect from a basic business hotel - bathroom kits, tea and kettle, TV, air con/heating, nice lighting, fairly soundproof walls (I think we had a slightly noisy neighbour though). Only downside was construction noise outside, which luckily didn't start till 11am. The window had a draft too, and the heating only kept up when we set it to 28 degrees c. Didn't use any 'facilities' except the breakfast, which was standard Chinese and fine.
Service good and personal very helpful. Breakfast room and breakfast bad.
This is a business hotel. Room are very comfortable and location is not that far from train stations. The Hotel is great for a good night rest but with very limited things to do around the area it was a bit boring. I will consider coming back to the Hotel because of its cleanliness and pricing.
It is a very decent hotel, located in a very quiet district but close to Metro. All level of staff are nice with high quality of service.
This hotel was quite well priced compared with others. The room was made up tastefully, it was very clean and very comfortable. They offered a good western style breakfast and most of the staff were really helpful. It was however a little far from the majority of tourist places but the train station was only about 10 mins walk.
My stay at the Asset Hotel was very pleasant. The room was very clean and comfortable and all the hotel staff were so very nice and helpful despite the fact that I did not know much Chinese and they were somewhat limited in English, but it was no problem. They also had a very interesting rooftop garden that I only discovered on my last day. You are only a few steps away from taxis, small stores for snacks and drinks and a short walk to the subway station. I would recommend them.
Good hotel. Facilities very nice and fair location. Good value for the money. I may stay here again in my next stay in Shanghai.
