"This hotel was very pleasant to stay at and was very reasonably priced and convenient to the city and rail station. My only criticism is that I thought the beds and pillows were a bit average. Very hard on the back. If they put better mattresses on the beds there would be no complaints. The pool on the 3rd floor overlooking the city was an added bonus! "if you can get into the best western section then it is good. beware of the other section of the hotel it is a total dive. staff apart from a few were not helpful. complaints include. bath not working, cracked tiles and windows, carpet dirty with stains, twin room = double bed and sofa NOT 2 beds, freezer over frozen, light in pool floating around with leads attached! An entrance to Central Station is diagonally opposite. The complex offers a wide choice from intimate Hotel Rooms, Deluxe Rooms to Astor Suites with very competitive tariffs. Some features include a street terrace bar & restaurant, individual non-ducted air-conditioning, private balconies (most), kitchens, secure covered (limited) parking etc. This hotel can satisfy the requirements of every traveller. Getting There: You can arrive to the Astor Metropole Best Western Hotel by Train, Bus or Automobile. Please contact our friendly staff for directions.
Check-in Procedure: Please ensure you have your credit card with you on check in a pre authorisation will be required for any incidental charges you may incur while staying with us. If you are unable to do so please contact us before your arrival.
Car Parking: Secure covered parking is available subject to availability. Parking - $9/car per day fees payable on check-in. Parking is limited and not guaranteed. In addition to our car park, off street parking (metered 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday) is available nearby in Berry Street. Guests are invited to park on Wickham Terrace in the 2 min loading/set down area in front of hotel while checking in. Reception staff will direct you to the car park entrance after you have checked-in.
Child Policy: Children under the age of 4 years stay free when using exsisting bedding - please ensure that you advise the total number of people in your room (including your children) so that we can supply enough linen. Cots are provided free of charge upon request - we suggest you bring your own baby linen.
