Carrera San Jeronimo 30 -32 5th Floor 28014 Madrid - Spain
Situated in the heart of the Old Town of Madrid, this small hostal was completely renovated when it opened its doors in 1993. It occupies the fifth floor of a building which was constructed in the 1890's. This location makes it an ideal starting point for short walks to many of Madrid's most interesting sites: the Museum Triangle (Prado, Reina Sofía and the Thyssen), the Royal Palace, the Puerta del Sol, churches, monuments, shopping, restaurants, theaters, and many different clubs and discothèques. Each of its 26 rooms has a full bath with hair-dryer, TV, telephone, music, air conditioning and security box. We also have a fax service and can arrange for excursions to other cities outside Madrid.

Fantastic location - close to Puerta del Sol, Plaza Major and all the museums. Excellent selection of restaurants right around the corner. Room and bathroom clean and functional - but nothing fancy.
Great location short walk from Sol metro. Noise can be a problem sometimes for the rooms coming off reception otherwise pretty good.
A very nice hotel in the middle of Madrid. we stayed with 3 persons in a large room for only EU 75,00. We could walk to all the highlights of Madrid. A very fine hotel!
This was a great little hostal, located right between the Puerta de Sol and the Prado and close to the Sevilla metro station. Only complaint would be that a lot of noise carried from the hallway which was a little annoying when people came home late or the cleaning staff started work early.
Very good value for money at a hotel which is excellently placed for the city centre with most of the sites within walking distance and several metro stations nearby. The only 2 complaints we had were: the water system was not good at the time we stayed (we were told that the pump was faulty - this meant that, depending on the time of day, it was necessary to wait three or four minutes for hot water to come through); and that we had a room next to reception - this meant that it was not very quiet at night, despite our room's window facing the rear of the hotel and away from the busy main road in front. I would be happy to stay there again, but I would request a room well away from the reception area.
Very helpful, Boss lives locally and full of info on where to go etc. etc.
Perfect for its price! Recommended!
This hostel is very well situated. The rooms are a bit little, but you don't car if you are here to visit and just come in your room to sleep and take shower. But the rooms are cosy. It is true that you can hear if a woman walk with hills on the corridor, but it is generally quite calm the night. A good point is the computer with internet access. Not everybody speak english, but even if you don't speak spanish, you can make you understand. Be carrefull, you have to add local taxes to the price indicated.
Good location. OK service. The problem is my room is extremely small. I did see some other rooms are pretty roomy. I don't know if it is becuase I had bad luck or the rate I got from [website] only entitles me the small room.
Hotel finds itself occupying the fifth floor in the centre of the city, in what otherwise might be an office block, The single room was clean, reasonable size, with a nice bathroom & everything one might expect - except a kettle! The location was faultless - a matter of minutes from Sol (Madrid's equivalent of Trafalgar Square), & thus this hostal seemed exceptionally reasonably priced.
Stayed here 4 times now, very impressed for the money. Excellent location for sightseeing lots of great shops and restaurants nearby.
fabulous location,a short stroll to all the old town sights, surrounded by bars cafes and nice shops. Friendly staff. Basic accommodation but everything you need. Will be staying here again!
Very clean, great location with friendly staff.
A great central spot. Smallish rooms but clean and walking distance to nightlife, restaurants and sites. Helpful staff. We stayed here twice! Wayne & Lisa Perth, Western Australia October 2004
The staff was very helpful and made our stay enjoyable. I would recommend staying here. PS: They have wireless WiFi access if you take your own laptop at no additional cost. Excellent!
