"There is one suggestion that the name of the hotel could be clearer as we arrived at night and it was very hard to see it's name any where except a flag blowing in the wind. Had to drive up and down the road twice before seeing it." - Anonymous

"I stayed at the Motel for one week and they never serviced the room. If I wanted clean towels or rubbish removed I had to ask. Furthermore, it was extremely noisy several nights in a row and management did nothing to abate the noise.
I left a day early as it was so noisy, but did receive one night refund less $10 which I think was a bit ridiculous. I have travelled the world and worked in hospitality and stayed in backpacker accommodation that was less noisy and regularly serviced. Will never recommend or stay again" - Anonymous

Astro Motel Taupo is a new concept of compact accommodation, offering a wide range of 20 affordable rooms/units in new clean facilities ranging from self-contained units sleeping 2-4, twin and single studios and 6 beds dorm rooms with own bath.
Whether you’re a family or a single budget-minded traveller, business person or backpacker, we have the right accommodation with value pricing and comfort to suit your needs.
All rooms (except dorm rooms) offer complimentary tea and coffee, microwave, toaster and electric jug, plates and cutlery, Sky TV and air-condition/heater. A large fully equipped communal kitchen is available on the ground floor.
After a full day seeing the sights, soak in the spa & sauna. Cook up a storm in the common kitchen area with a Plasma TV, or spend time checking your emails or downloading your photos in-room using own laptop or using our internet kiosk.
