Whitsunday Vista Resort is located directly opposite Boathaven Bay and offers beautiful Coral Sea views from all units and balconies. The resort is a pleasant seven-minute flat stroll from the centre of Airlie Beach with its shops, restaurants and beach. Whitsunday Vista makes great base to explore the Whitsundays, with a full tour desk and a bus stop directly in front of the resort. The resort features a pool and outdoor spa, covered barbecue area, undercover parking and a lift to all levels. All units have airconditioning, ceiling fans, cable TV, direct phones and kitchenettes, additionally the apartments have fully equipped kitchens including dishwasher. Getting there:Transfers are available from Whitsunday Coast Airport (Proserpine), Hamilton Island Airport and Mackay Airport. Guest arriving by car will find the resort 600m past the centre shopping strip of Airlie Beach towards Shute Harbour.

Best value - easy walk & bus at door to shops & restaurants. Units with separate bedrooms are spacious with the outdoor balconies. Thai restaurant in building the food is excellent, tasty and good value. Management owner in building excellent for family with pool and outdoor spa with plenty of shade.
Bit of a walk to the main area but nice and quiet. Rooms are clean and quite nice, though looking a bit dated.

The Bayview Spa Suite is a studio style unit with open plan living and sleeping area. They feature a kitchenette and a double spa from which you can see the water. The bedding configuration is a queen sized bed only. Rate is based on 2 persons, room will sleep a maximum of 2 persons only.
The 2 Bedroom Apartments feature 2 separate bedrooms from the living area, 2 bathrooms, 2 private balconies and a full kitchen including a dishwasher. They have a queen sized bed in 1 bedroom, the second bedroom has either a queen sized bed or alternitavely 2 single beds, and there is a sofa in the lounge that folds out to form an innersprung double bed. Rate is based on 4 persons, extras are $25 per persons per night, room will sleep a maximum of 6 persons only.
It's away from the centre of airlie beach, and there's building work going on in front of the hotel somewhat spoiling the vista. Disappointing really.
Place is reasonably spacious and clean. Only grouse I have is that the laundry facilities are shared with another unit. Location is so-so, i.e. 10 mins walk to central section of airlie beach. View of the seaside is affected by the current construction across the road.
Walk to Airlie Beach. No big hills was a plus. Bus Stop out the front. Optus phone/net do not work well in Airlie but the nice couple running the place offered us they mobile phone/land line/net in fact they offered they whole office areas to work from as we were trying to run our Melbourne business from up there and we were with optus.VERY VERY nice of them.But we did fine that 99.9 of the people up there were very very nice.

Just being set up still a way to completion,however, Restrauant was very nice and food and service excellant.
If your not familiar with how Austrailian hotel ratings work you would be expecting more of an upmarket resort by the cost and description of this resort. In reality it is just a self contained studio apartment. It has all the facilities you will need ( washing maching / Dryer etc) but for a short stay it doesn't offer any amenities of a hotel ( laundry service , room service etc) You do need to go to a supermarket and purchase washing powder and food for breakfast etc . The views from the room are fantastic and the staff are very helpful and friendly
Recommended hotel. Well equipped rooms which were clean and well maintained (with a free laundry). The staff were exceptionally helpful and really friendly.

Apartment very good and well equipped. About a 15-20 min walk to the town. Building works going on next door from about 8-5 but was not a problem other than a bit of noise at times. Nice pool.
GOOD APARTMENT AND VERY NICE MANAGEMENT.
Waking up to a view like you have from the lounge area is so relaxing. The weather was extremely hot but the tinted windows along with the air conditioning was unreal, after a hot day out on the water. I will go back to this hotel again with the added bonus of non smoking rooms, this makes it much more comfortable.
