The location of the hotel is very quiet although in town centre. You reach comfortably by foot in 3 min. the Mirabell Castle and Mirabelgardens, theaters, and congress house, the central station and the famous old Town.

Getting there:ARRIVING at the LASSERHOF - From freeway exit Salzburg mitte straight ahead for approx. 2 km direction center along the Ignaz-Herrer-Strae, over the river bridge then, along the Saint-Julien-Strae. After the train underpass/tunnel immediately the first street to the right and on the left hand side is the Lasserhof From freeway exit Salzburg north: straight ahead for approx. 1,5 km , on the Vogelweiderstrae at the intersection between Vogelweider and Sterneckstrae, turn right into the Sterneckstrae, straight ahead until the Esso gas station then left, you are at the Lasserhof.

Location was a bit further from the center than we expected from the description. Breakfast was good. Staff were fine. Room was a bit of a disappointment, when were those pictures taken??
This review and ratings are for the hotel that we were moved to due to room construction. We were completely happy with the upgrade. Better location, better staff, GREAT Breakfast. We will be staying at the new hotel when we return to Salzburg.
All our rooms are equipped with bathroom with shower, WC, hair hair dryer, radio, SAT-TV with remote control, direct dial telephone, desk with PC and fax connections, as well as minibar free wireless internet use
Room was small but very comfortable, within walking distance to everything important and a fantastic breakfast for a great price.
Excellent location with rail station, city centre and major sights all with-in walking distance. Very good breakfast included in very reasonable price. Good size, well appointed room and although no tea-making facility in room tea/coffee with biscuits/cakes were quickly supplied when requested. Very friendly and helpful staff, giving us great assistance in organising next part of vacation. Free internet a bonus.
Excellent location near railway station and walking distance to all important sites of interest. Room is small and clean and the service is good.
Very clos to town centre, easy access to all attractions, staff helpful and laundry service cheap but not ironed. Free internet and real coffee provided from reception 24 hrs for one euro. Recommend this hotel.
Very good location, walking distance to the old town. The room has good facilities including internet. Breakfast is good, with fried eggs and bacon, boiled eggs, and many other variations. The staff are helpful too. Our double has a balcony towards the street. It is a very nice family hotel.
My husband and son and I stayed here prior to Christmas 2007. It was a fabulous location - easy walking from the train station (with luggage) and easy walking to Old town area also. Highly recommend the Christmas markets in Salzburg. They were possibly the best we experienced (out of Stuttgart Munich Vienna Krakow) - and so atmospheric. Accommodation was a brilliant huge attic style room (with sofa bed for my son) with separate bathroom and toilet. Breakfasts were excellent - I would always stay here if opportunity arose to visit Salzburg again - my husband & I would be packed to go back anytime!!
The hotel was great, staff very friendly and helpful. It was in a great position. Disappointed in the hotel washing service 10 euros and the clothes were not dried fully and just thrown in a bag. Other than that it was an excellent stay.

Very clean hotel, friendly staff who helped us with our tour booking etc. Would definately stay there again.
Location for travelling Austria via Salzburg by public transport is excellent The bedroom was surprisingly large & well furnished. En-suite facility was new & quite roomy. The lift set up is very antiquated to say the least!
This hotel is an easy walk from the main train station, you can catch a bus from the airport to the station. The room was clean and decent size. Front desk friendly and helplul.

In a very quiet street, but close to main train station. Easy walking distance to old city and main Salzburg attractions. Good breakfast buffet, including bacon and eggs, as well as the usual continental choices. Hotel has free wireless internet, but that was unbearably slow for most of our stay.
Hotel provides free Internet access in the lobby and 40% discount on parking in the garage across the street (~8 euros per day after discount.) Plenty of street parking outside the hotel (free from 7 pm - 9 am next morning, 2.2 euro/hr. afterwards.) Hotel has no air conditioning but provides a fan on request. Located in a quiet area and walking distance to many attractions. Our triple room looks like a castle room with a squeaky floor and a bit over-priced. Breakfast area was small but has a family atmosphere, average variety.
Staff was very helpful and could communicate very well in English. Hotel is quite nice with a friendly atmosphere.
