"We really enjoyed our stay in the Athenaeum Hotel and for €140 for the night this was really good value. The rooms are very clean and the highlight was the breakfast which was really good. The variety of food was top notch. One small complaint would be the damp smell in the corridors and the carpet looking a bit shoddy but it wouldn't put you off. The hotel staff were really pleasent also. We would reccommend this hotel for anyone wanting a good central hotel in Florence." - Macartan McQuaid

Getting there: Directions from Airport/Motorway A1 - A11 Exit Firenze Nord to Hotel.
Follow the direction for the city center. Take Viale Guidoni. After 1 km turn right in Via Forlanini at the roundabout turn left in Viale Redi. Proceed straight until the end of street. Reaching Viale Belfiore turn left in Via Guido Monaco and left again at the 1st traffic light in Viale Rosselli. Go Straight haed and reach Viale Lavagnini and there make right in Piazza della Libertà and take 2nd street on your right, Via Cavour where the Hotel Athenaeum is located.
