Getting there:At the main Waterford roundabout go straight through, through the lights. As you are coming up the incline take the feeder lane to the right. At the brow of the hill go right. Follow the road around, just after the forty mile per hour speed zone turn right. One hundred yards up on the right hand side is the entrance to the hotel. Follow the gravel driveway to the main entrance.
Check-in Procedure:Check in is anytime after 14.00 and check out time is before 12.00. If you require late checkout, please inform the receptionist on duty on your arrival
Car parking:There is free parking at the front of the hotel for guests
Child Policy:We do not provide family rooms however we will endeavour to meet your requirements if you wish for your child to stay in your room with you
I thought this hotel was a 4 Star rating on the website i booked on line with but when we arrive it looked and felt more like a 6 out of 10 3 Star hotel , Would I stay in it again , mayby , its a little out of town and difficult to get at really ,. but ovber all not a bad hotel taking into consideration that it use to be a fine big house before.

Very enjoyable stay in the hotel. Its spotlessly clean with friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. Bathrooms are large with great showers. TV has very bad reception on all channels and the hotel could do with an extra member of staff to serve at the bar. Other than that and excellent hotel.

The staff that I met while on my stay at the Athenaeum House Hotel were exceptional, very friendly and coudln't do enough to help, we'll definitely be going back again!
