Very noisy with tiled floors, people runing up and down stairs making lots of racket till late. Other than that was in a good location and had a good theme. As in looked like a palace.

Great location, short walk from railway station and around the corner (literally) from leather markets and historial sites. Fair sized room but new air conditioning not functional. Most hotels do not turn on air conditioning until peak season so room stuffy despite being able to open window. Reasonable continental breakfast. Lots of rooms off long corridors and lots of narrow stairs. A little disappointed ascetically as was expecting some of the plushness of a palace, but very stark and lacked atmosphere. Staff helpful and obliging.
good position, average breakfast, expensive parking
Lovely room the only staff member who aknowleded our presence was the friendly maid. Never came across such unprofessional unfriendly and ignorant reception staff. Never one hallo rudely asked for our passport and credit card and ignored any questions. The breakfast was not fit for the statue of David never mind Living humans, a disgrace as the room was so quaint.
There are some things are showing its age and wear & tear. The staff seems over worked and harried, and not at all helpful in setting up reservations for museums although the guy who came after my second call about the TV was most pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts were very good so it was possible to skip lunch entirely. I'm not sure I'd go back because there are so many hotels in that area and maybe for the same price one could get something nicer.
The location of this hotel was very convenient to me. Very close to the central train station, on a street with shops, restaurants and a self-service laundry shop. Breakfast was very good, but had no restaurant.
The location was great...only steps from the train station and only 15 minute walk from the Accademia. The room was large by European standards. Breakfast was the best we had in Italy. The only complaint was the desk staff was not as helpful as in Venice or Verona but they were still pleasant.
pleasant hotel with an excelent location. Even though it is intalled in an old building the the maintance is good clean tidy with nice staff.
This hotel is well-located for sightseeing and within walking distance of the train station. The breakfast is quite adequate. One thing, however, is that the whole decor and building is very tired. For instance, the elevator stopped working, so it was necessary (for me) to haul my luggage up and down the three flights. There was no real concern or urgency to get it fixed. I really don't think I would stay there again. The price, however, was right.
The hotel had a very good location near the railway/bus/airportshuttle. Easy to reach by walk anywhere in Florence. From the street beside the hotel you could walk right ahead to all sights in city within 10 minutes. Hotel rebuild from an old patriserhouse. Rooms and lobby very clean and in order. Good and sufficient breakfast. Frontdesk-people and other empoyees very serviceminded. We would like to stay again.
This is a nice little hotel in the heart of Florence, with good staff especially in the reception, but the prices a little high.
A short walk to the train station and outdoor markets. (GREAT!!) Quiet at night and clean. Friendly staff who booked our tours on very short notice. Breakfast had a nice variety and was plentiful. We would stay there again.
Lovely location, friendly, efficient, helpful staff.
The style of the hotel rooms was excellent.
Two triples booked. Excellent breakfast, good location and beautiful rooms. Lovely hotel.
Very handy to rail station. Nice hotel with friedly staff. Noisy plumbing!
Rooms were beautiful but somewhat small. I would certainly stay here again.
Great location. Saves you cab fare to and from the main train station - just walk and roll your luggage with you. We also just walked to take the bus to Greve in Chianti right after checking in and the open-market is literally around the corner (wonderful place to shop for leather goods). No time to use other hotel facilities, but our room had great bathroom amenities and it was very clean, bed sheets were clean. The room looked unique - made us feel we are really in Florence (hand-painted solid wood headboard, closet, wood-beam ceiling, a small walk-out patio). All in all, it worked perfectly for us. I'd recommend it.
A very good hotel, close to everything.
