"For a rural country experience this hotel was great. The food and wine were excellent as well as service provided. Its nice to walk downstairs to a dining room with ambiance and world class food. Our room was comfortable and had a nice view of the surrounding area. Directions there were a bit obscure but feel that it can be changed easily by directing people to follow VEZERE BRIDGE signs. We'd love to go back and explore the area more. " - Horst Boenisch
"This is a charming place run by a French and Welsh couple who take delight in providing that bit of service beyond expected. The rooms are a bit basic but very good value. Location is in the middle of nowhere (excellent for countryside relaxation!), but just off a main north/south Autoroute (so very good access). The food is good french fare served indoors or outdoors depending on weather. As we were leaving before the staff were up (at 6am), they had no hesitation to show us how to help ourselves to what we wanted." - Richard Wagon
"My husband and I had a most delightful stay at this very friendly "Auberge" the last 2 nights of March '04. The hosts -- Sara, who's Welch and Francis (the chef & French) -- were incredibly welcoming: dinners both nights were superb; the location near the pre-historic caves ~Lascaux, as well as the Dordogne region were exactly right for us.
We recommend this hotel most highly!
p.s. -- the Caves are definitely worth the drive & may be open to the public only a few more months." - Cindy Anderson
