The best location in Alice Spring

Excellent Hotel, really nice room, we had the triple and suited us perfectly. The restraunt downstairs didn't dissapoint, excellent meals, great service and very convenient. Would stay there again with no hesitation.

This was my fourth stay at the Aurora and I won't be back. The location is great and it's been of benefit to be able to walk to the mall, however my sore back after a week on a very uncomfortable bed and being woken very early by someone hosing and cleaning outside my door each morning I'm a little grumpy and will try somewhere else next time I'm in Alice. Decent accomodation, but I value sleep!

We enjoyed our stay. It was a bit more expensive than some of the opposition but the location was great and we did not need to hire a car. It was close to all of the in town facilities in Alice Springs, Food, pubs, Shopping Mall, Post Office and Supermarkets. It is a relatively new hotel and is kept reasonably up to tandard. Would be happy to recoomend the Aurora to friends.

Reception staff could have been more friendly and could have explained the facilities of the hotel when checking in. The spa was not very clean. It had a dirt ring around the waterline and was not cleaned even 3 days from reporting this to the reception staff.

The location is central. Good clean and comfortable room after long journey. Pleasant staff. Restaurant was flagged up in some publications as being very good. It's adequate but not quite as good as expected.

There was a terrible odour coming from the bathroom which was very strong, upon mentioning this to the staff they said there was nothing that could be done about it, a plumbing problem, not very satisfactory.

This hotel is in a good location and the staff were friendly. However our room was a bit tired looking especially the carpet. The beds were very comfortable and we has a great nights sleep.

This is the most central of any of the Alice Hotels in relation to the shopping mall and centre of town. Althopugh the rooms look like its a travel motel it is deceptive and they are spacious, quiet and clean. Pool is small and shady. Down side was the attached Red Ochre restaurant where breakfast was OK but evening meal overpriced and not as good as the menu made out. If staying in Alice it is recommended and seems to be popular with Brits and Europeans.

Our initial accommodation was in a clean double room perfectly clean and comfortable. On our subsequent stay, two days after, we were given a family room which although clean and comfortable it didn't have any other source of fresh air other than opening the only door, which althought had a fly screen this didn't lock nor did it have a curtain to provide any privacy. Would request a move should this happen again.

Hotel's location is great, rigth in the town's centre. Great value for money. Make sure that your booking includes breakfast, since this is really excellent.

Comfortable hotel in a very central location.

Good central location to the mall however insufficient parking available and we did need to park across the road next to the Todd River. We did find too that the room picked up all of the mall and restaurant noise. Normal room tariff ($120 p/n) made it affordable accommodation however the weekend rate of $200 p/n was a bit steep considering we did have to park across the road and listen to the noise of the restaurant and mall patrons until late into the evening.

Well located and price for a family of 4.

Stayed for two days rooms need alittle work happy to pay the price I did over the net but would not have liked to pay the full price. Disappointed that room was not serviced one of the two days we stayed there but assume that was a staff error.Breakfast was great value. Check in staff could have been a little friendlier!

Great room. The hotel restaurant didn't have the best food for the prices though.

Excellent location, right on the main street with a fabulous restaurant. The rooms are well appointed, clean, and spacious. Staff is friendly and obliging. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Alice Springs. There is only one main street and this hotel is right on it. Price is reasonable and similar to many other hotels much further from town.

Excellent location with friendly staff. Pool quite small but nevertheless extremely refreshing. Rooms comfortable.

We stayed at the Aurora twice in Oct 2008. It is ideally situated facing the (dry) Todd River, with a rear entrance onto Todd Mall, the main tourist/shopping street. The staff were helpful and pleasant and the rooms and facilities were very good for the price. We would stay there again.
