The hotel is in front of the central train station S. Maria Novella in the city center. It is close to the congress center, piazza Duomo and all the other monuments of Florence. All the rooms are quiet and sunny. The windows look out onto the most important monuments and have a view of the hills around Florence. The hotel is on the third floor of an historic building of the 19th century. There is a private elevator to reach the hotel. We have 12 rooms 1 single, 6 double, 4 triple, 1 quadruple for total 30 people very quiet and sunny. All the rooms have private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, heating, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone with direct outside dialing, safe, bar-fridge, internet connection and fax on request. A parking place is available for the guests. The hotel has elevator and an Internet point. The hotel is in front of the central train station S. Maria Novella therefore all the trains and buses of Florence with connection for Chianti, Siena ,Pisa and airport with bus in 20 minutes of travel every 30 minutes. We have a breakfast room and a bar area. All the main rent car company is around the hotel (AVIS, Hertz, Maggiore and other). The most important city tour to begin with is beneath the hotel.

Getting there:By car You must arrive in PORTA AL PRATO here you go right and keep soon on the left following the indication STAZIONE after the 2nd traffic light turn right in VIA JACOPO DA DIACCETO, go straight on keeping on the right so you arrive on VIA LUIGI ALAMANNI here follow to the number 5. south you have to go out from the motorway A1 tool booth “FIRENZE SUD”, then follow the indication “VIALI CIRCONVALLAZIONE” north and Tyrrenian sea you have to go out from the motorway A1 and A11 tool booth “FIRENZE NORD”, out of the motorway go on the second on the right and follow indication STAZIONE – PORTA LA PRATO- VIALI DI CIRCONVALLAZIONE then 1st on the right following the indication now you are on VIA BARACCA continue straight on By train At the central station of Florence SANTA MARIA NOVELLA go on the end of the rail, turn right go down the stairs, cross the traffic light in front of the station, turn right on the side walk and after 10 m you are in front of the no, 5.

Inexpensive hotel for sleeping, but small with few amenities. The room did have a hairdryer and small fridge. Great location only a 15 minute walk to the Duomo. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast buffet is typical Italian fare.

Access to this hotel is via a staircase/lift lobby that is very grotty and unwelcoming. Once you get past this and actually enter the small reception the hotel itself (although fairly basic) is adequte. The staff were very helpful in booking day tours etc. Although the rooms were satisfactory and clean they were not very sound proof and you could hear talking and the plumbing from the adjoining rooms. There was also no English TV channels, which after being away from home for a while you are really hanging out to hear the news of the world. Breakfast was a typical cold contintental, and the coffee was good. The convenience of the position in relation to the train station and all the major attractions certainly makes this a good base in Florence if you are not seeking luxury.
Our accommodation was in a separate building to the main Hotel about 100 metres away. This was a small inconvenience. Room and bath were a good size and very clean. Breakfast was OK. Location ideal for train travellers.
We found this hotel a little noisy - our room faced the busy street opposite the railway station. Staff very helpful.
I was a travelling alone(4 nights) but being in the other building was fine. It's quite close to everything, the staff were really kind (i arrived really late the 1st night), the room was really big and that expresso machine...mmm. This is definatly a place to recommend, I would go back there without hesitation, it's a great place for a cheap stay.
The coffee maker is excellent! I had several cups at the morning. Only one problem is that the room assigned to me is not at the main building where the reception desk and breakfast room are located.
The hotel was located across from the main train station, which was great for inter\intra city travel. Since the room was facing the main street the evening traffic created a significant amount of noise. This is a great location for a weekend stay. Really good location.
Very close to Firenze SMN, literally accross the road. The service is fantastic (talk to Giovanni). The room was spacious, clean and tidy, loved the timber floor. The bathroom was 5 stars, water pressure was a little low for hot water but there was ample amount. Daily breakfast kept you full and even though the rate was a little expensive, it was well worth it for a long stay. The exterior appearance of the hotel might give you an initial shock, however enter the lift and press level 3 and you will be pleasantly surprised.

A lovely modern room good facilities, quiet and very close to the train station. Strangely our room was not in the main hotel building, but the other side of the block - this was a little annoying when having to treck for breakfast each day. Friendly and helpful staff.
A very convenient location, right in front of the Florence SMN railway station. Walkable distance to the famous dome, uffizi gallery, and the bridge. Helful receptionist, and a decent size of the room. Clean with all basic facilities available like internet, etc. Might get a cheaper hotel somewhere else, but its convenient location is worth spending a little more. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others.
Breakfast was lovely, location brilliant (less than two minutes to train station), staff were very helpful and friendly. Good value for money. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Florence.
