great little par 3 golf course - great for improving your short game - private beach at red rocks was wonderful

Was a good place for a relaxing time away, friendly hosts and quiet atmosphere made for a great experience...

When we first arrive, I was not sure if I got to the right place as I only saw a golf ranch reception but the owner came to greet me and brought us straight to our room. I booked the Garden Studio Apartment "New A/C". The room had an ocean theme, very impressive, had a queen size bed and a single bed. There was also some kitchen facilities, a microwave, kettle and a fridge so I had a chance to do some home cook food. Everything was very clean and the bed was very comfy. The owners consist of husband and wife, there his son who has a 5 months old dog, Maggie, chickens, and a lot of wild life. We really enjoyed the golf/farm cottage house as we do not have such experience coming from South East Asia. Just 5 minutes walk through some bushes is a path to a scenic view of the beach and you have a nice view of the golf ranch as well. To sum it all, we really enjoyed out stay.

Home, away from home...! With the Golf course to keep you entertained and direct beach access to a private beach if it's relaxing you'd prefer... Walk along the beach into town or a short drive.. A very relaxing & comfortable stay :-)

Broken screens and tiolet seat. No shampoo or hairdryer. Shabby linen. About 2 star but priced like 4 star. Surroundings pretty and staff friendly

We enjoyed the rural outlook and open spaces around the units which were quiet, friendly and comfortable.

No hairdryer, no clock in the room, no ironing facilities, no wine classes, the air conditioner kept blowing warm to hot air instead of cold.

Had a great time, Room was a little small. Lovely outlook.

Probably our favour acccommodation that we had in Victoria. Very peaceful and you can walk to the beach.

Location was very private and had a homely feel about it. Units Kitchen & bathroom facilities were good. 100 metre stroll through dunes to Philip Islands best beach. Golf facilties were right there but we did not use them. Shops about 2km away so stocking up with food not so easy. Very good place to get away from it all.

On the outskirts of Cowes, between it and the Penguin Parade. Clean and basic with friendly hosts. Well priced; parking could use an upgrade. Showers are very powerful. Cold at night (June), but the split system A/C did the trick nicely.

Awesome scenery. The hosts are very nice and make you feel welcome. Loved it!

Golf was very good and enjoyable. The course was difficult without being ridiculous and the staff were very helpful. Plenty to do - walk to the beach through the bush, plenty of walks within the 23 acres, play golf not far from Cowes town centre.

Older style,comfortable, spacious, walk to a quieter, safer, gloriuos beach. Excellent for kids.

Good, friendly service from Lisa. Good pricing, very clean & comfortable rooms. The hotel's pretty hard to locate though

Great little place to stay...

Red Rocks hospitality was great! They also are a short scenic walk to the beach and have wallabies around their property. It was relaxing a quiet and that was what we were looking for. We also liked it as it wasnt too close to the main street and we felt like we were isolated, which was lovely!!

Great stay- look forward to golf course opening!

Unfortunately the proposed golf course surrounding the property was under construction, so our experience wasn't fantastic, however we didn't spend much time in the unit so it was OK and there was no night disturbance. After the golf course is built, we expect a pleasant atmosphere will be the result. There is also a walk through a small bush track which leads from the cottage to the Red Rocks beach, like a hidden treasure. Lots of potential. We would like to revisit when all is complete.
