Austin's Arts et Metiers Hotel Paris

Have stayed at Austin's several times already and with great pleasure. They speak and understand English very well, metro is on the opposite of the street. Around the corner there is a supermarket and near a square with all restaurants. Ille de la cite is in walking distance.

A great friendly hotel in the heart of La Marais, close to everything, great cafes and restaurants nearby. Staff were really great and hotel is a little gem.

Very good quiet location, about 15-20 minute walk to the Notre Dame cathederal. Very close to a metro station for those who don't want to walk far (trains ran under the hotel, however our room was on the 1st floor and this didn't cause any sleep disturbance at all). Very clean room and a reasonable size (for central Paris!). Very adequate self-service continental breakfast provided. All in all, we could not fault this hotel, it was a good value mid-range hotel, and we would definately recommend it!

Everything was up to our expactation. The location, the service at the hoteldesk, the rooms, they are always small in Paris and the breakfast is a typical french one, so if you need fibres bring that with you to the breakfast room. I will definately book this hotel again. Nice, clean and friendly and very silent.

This was our second time at this hotel and with the first it was fantastic. Location is excellent. The staff are excellent and most accomodating. The daily breakfast was welcome and more than ample. The airconditioning was MOST welcome for early August. One thing that would be most helpful in the room would be a small fridge to put drinks & milk in.

A small friendly hotel in a good position.

Stayed several times already at Austin's. People are friendly, understand English well, clean hotel and near the old city centre. Across the street there's a subway entrance. Only bad thing about area of the hotel is that it is quite noisy during the night in the front because of group of local youth hanging around in the street. Hard to have a window open during a hot summer's night with the noise. It doesn't bother me but it can keep other people awake. It's a pitty but I don't think the hotel can prevent it. Still keep coming back.

Great location. Friendly, helpful, staff. Rooms are small but comfortable. Generous (continental) breakfast. Airconditioning has now been installed in the rooms, which is a major improvement

Nice upper middle class hotel, clean and comfortable rooms. This is the second time we stayed at this hotel and will stay again.

A lovely little hotel in a great location for walking to louvre etc - 5 min from pompidou centre. Highly recommended. Very pleasant staff.

Good location, right next to the Arts et Metiers metro station and next to the museum. The hotel is clean and well priced for a hotel of its quality (a true, basic but clean and decent 3-star hotel), especially in Paris. Paid 80 euros for a double room. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends.

Great boutique hotel located in a fantastic area of Paris. Room of ample size and well appointed. Metro station just outside the door along with a quanity of really good restaurants. Banks and great shopping are in walking distance. Staff are exceptionally friendly and most helpful. Will stay here again & would recommend it to anyone who likes the cultural end of a city. BRAVO!!!

Great location, right outside the metro Arts et Metiers. Service was always friendly too. Our room was ready immediately, even though we arrived a few hours prior to check-in time, and it was spotless. Not huge, but great for what we needed, comfy bed and clean bathroom - perfect! Breakfast that was included was tasty - boiled eggs, cheeses, fresh pastries, cereal, yoghurt, selection of fruits - more than enough to satusfy. Monoprix just up the road made for cheap lunches/dinners in a city that is quite expensive. Highly recommended!!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Paris. Great location, nice rooms and friendly service. This was my first time there and would return to this establishment

The hotel needs air conditioning. We stayed in August and it was too hot to keep the window closed but it was very noisy outside with traffic and locals in the street, so we got very little sleep.

Marvelous hotel. Very helpful staff. The breakfasts were fabulous. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful litle hotel (very French), with a great breakfast and friendly staff. The rooms are only small but this is usually the case in Europe anyway. We liked the French influence and the fact that a metro station is practically across the road makes it very easy to explore Paris without wasting time. It is also only a 10 minute walk to the Notre Dame and the Seine River, and 5 minute walk to lots of cafes.

We were very happy with our room at this hotel - small and lacking in storage space but comfortable enough for a short stay and with a nice modern ensuite and excellent shower. Breakfast is adequate (typical of a 3* hotel), the staff are friendly and helpful and wireless internet is free. It's a lovely area if you don't want (or can't afford) to be right in the centre.
