I spent 4 nights at this little reasonable priced hotel and can report only good things: location is great, walking to major attraction is easy, metro, busses, train all close by. Room and bathroom were very clean and quiet. Personnel was friendly and very helpful. Missed an english speaking channel ....
Small but comfortable.....friendly staff.....generous breakfast. Would highly recommend this hotel.
We were a party of 10 and, from the moment we arrived at reception, we ALL rated this hotel as excellent. We could not fault it; the cleanliness, service, helpfulness of staff deserve an A*. It's position in the centre of Paris, close to Opera, added to our enjoyment. Well done and congratulations to everyone at Austins Saint Lazare. I would never wish to stay anywhere else!!
Room very small but very nice. Hotel was nice, breakfast was good. Location central but immediate area around hotel a bit rough.
The hotel is small and the room was not a particularly generous size - as Paris hotels generally are not - unless you go 5 star with prices to match. However it served our purpose more than adequately. The room and ensuite shower were clean with some toiletries supplied. The breakfast was simple - not cooked, but adequate Continental. The lift is tiny, but better than none at all. We found the Reception staff friendly and helpful. The location was central to our needs, right next to the Gare St Lazare and with a Metro station close by. Buses went right past the door and were frequent. We were at a room overlooking the street which was not particularly noisy at all. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance as well as Printemps and LaFayette shopping emporiums.
No problem with language as English was spoken at the front desk. Would happily go back to a Austins hotel. Reception and dining staff were most helpful.
Nice place, good deal if you take a room on ons of the top floors because it's a bert busy street.
Ok hotel, very small room in good location. Walking distance from main train station and Moulin Rouge.
IN all Good, needed to rmind them about a room wich I had requested , small rooms, but this is typical Paris. recomended , if you take the rooms at 7th floor.
We find this hotel convenient, comfortable and friendly. We have stayed there many times and are now known by several of the staff
Although the rooms are small, they are beautifully decorated and feel very comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We have stayed here three times when visiting this lovely city due to the cleanliness of the hotel, its central location and its small size. No doubt we will be back again at some point as it is certainly value for money.
Like many hotels in Paris, the rooms are quite small, but space is used economically. There is no room service or minibar, but water and a small range of drinks are available for purchase from reception. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly when our aged father took ill. The hotel itself is well situated for the Metro, for the shopping in the Bd Haussmann and for a range of culinary opportunities! Breakfast is a cold selection of pastries, yogurt, cheese, fruit and boiled eggs. It was good value, given that breakfast in the nearby cafes ranged from 7 to 15 euros for a European breakfast. If you want a full hot breakfast, try one of the local cafes...
Overall quite satisfactory. Most staffs were friendly and helpful.
Austin's is perfect if you want something reasonably priced, well-located and clean. It's 3 stars so don't expect the lap of luxury, but the rooms are well-designed and nicely decorated; overall definitely satisfactory!
Excellent location close to station, excellent staff and service. Room (double) 42 very small but had all conveniences including flat screen tv. Breakfast excellent, good choice, plenty of food. Internet in the lobby free of charge. Helpful reception staff. Cold weather heating ih hotel ec[xcellent. Would stay again for short stay.
Good location just opposite to Saint Lazare railway station. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Crampt facilities, small room with dirty carpet. Free wireless internet connection and computer in lobby for free use by guests.
A cute little hotel in the heart of Opera. Rooms are small but very french decorated. Very clean and staff speaks good English. Also really close to the tube St Lazarus.
The location was excellent.
Well located, close to metro and RER stations and not too far to walk from the Roissybus stop at Opera. But our room was noisy and very small for a twin: my mother and I could barely fit ourselves and our one suitcase each into the room. Would recommend for the convenience of the location, if only staying a few days.
It is a noisy location but very central to the heart of Paris. One thing that annoyed me was there was a power failure where no one from the hotel informed of us what was going on and the man at the desk was very dissmissive when questioned. The woman who cleaned our room was a star very pleasant and helpful Breakfast room very VERY small as are the rooms.
