Give the taxi driver the complete address of the hotel: 485 King Street Newtown The taxi fare is approx. AUD$18 The taxi trip takes approx. 10 minutes **************************************************** SYDNEY CENTRAL If you are arriving at Sydney Central railway station, take the rail to Newtown Station (it's only 2 stops, a 6 minute trip). At Newtown station, walk up the stairs to King Street. At the top of the stairs, turn to your left and walk 500 m ( 5 mins) to number 485 King St.
Check-in Procedure:Check-in time is 2pm. Our reception office opens at 9.00am and closes at 12 midnight. If you arrive at the hotel on your booking date between 9am and 2pm, if your room is ready you can check in early. Also, you can leave your luggage at our office and use the hotel facilities from 9am until your room is ready.
Car parking:Prices include open air security parking inside the security fence of our hotel carpark.

This was the only hotel available in this area. The room was incredibly small & we've stayed in small Japanese hotel rooms. It was clean,the towels were changed but the bed wasn't made the second day.

A basic hotel that is a bit shabby, but reasonably clean. Only OK if location is right for you.
Fantastic location, couldn't believe how quiet it was, too.
Great place for eateries all around the area - we had Turkish and African. They had the tiniest bathroom but it worked OK. No glasses not even the plastic type. A bit too expensive for what you got $119 for a 2 star, but would stay again because of the good position.
The frige had no milk for coffee.The rooms were very average.The picture on the website is of the foyer, the rest of the lodge is old, and tired.No airconditioning.
Room very small but adequate. Bathroom also small. Lobby etc very nicely decorated.
It was hard to find as there was no sign with Australian Sunrise Lodge written on it. Just a sign with "Hotel". The street number (which was hard to see while in the car) was the only indication we were at the right place. Poor service - no-one staffs the reception desk during the day, so we had to wait 5 minutes for someone to let us in the front door and 10 minutes later that day to get our room keys (manager was available by phone only). Car park was locked with a combination lock which refused to re-lock after using it. Room was small (only 10cm between the two beds) and there was a worry about steam from the shower setting off the fire alarm (there was a warning written about it on the bathroom door). Location was good and the room was quiet though!
Great location, clean and tidy. Definitely stay there again.
