"Internet was pathetic, restaurant was closed Sunday & Monday and those nights the room service menu was very very limited (was too wet to go anywhere), maid service only did half the job (didn't bother to wash the mugs or leave teabags, took a half emty bodywash and didn't leave anymore - could've at least left the half empty one!!), ordered room service breakfast and left it with reception - after it never turned up we were told it must've been lost. Ordered some extra bread with room service dinner and didn't even get any butter, room next door got repainted and stunk out our room - when mentioned at reception was informed that it had to be done what more could they do. Clock radio was missing from the room (this didn't actually bother us as we had taken an alarmclock with us). Room was great for the price we received it at. Spa and sauna great. Excellent location and covered parking although first night was told no parking find your own!" - Lyyne Thorn
"I found the hotel on the internet, and for $85 per night I reckon it was a bargain! First impressions were of a good quality modern hotel in a good location. It is on the main highway three streets back from the beach....which is a 5 minute walk away.The balcony had ocean glimpses but overlooked the main highway, so it was a bit noisy with the doors open. But heck you get what you pay for! The staff at reception were excellent, with friendly smiles and a cheerful disposition. Nice pool/spa/BBQ area. The room was fine, and the bed was soft but that was OK with me. The carpet was worn and had been patched and needs replacing, but I can live with that.Excellent powerful shower; a fridge plus usual things like tea/coffee plus hairdryer. I would have liked a bit of cutlery to eat my in-room snacks with, but again that was a relatively minor thought.
In conclusion.....if you expect five star facilities then go elsewhere and pay three times the price! " - David Barry

From Coolangatta Airport it's straight down the northbound highway to Surfers Paradise. Turn left into Birt Avenue and reception is located on your right in Acacia Avenue.
From Brisbane Airport head down the Pacific Highway, take the Southport turnoff and head south on the Gold Coast Highway into Surfers Paradise. Turn right into Cypress Avenue, right onto Ferny Avenue, then your first left into Birt Avenue and reception is located on your right in Acacia Avenue. |
