Good value for money - but the rooms are 'tired' and especially the bathrooms would benefit from updating.
Takes only less than 30 mins to get to the airport and near central mall...far from the city but ok if you'll be visiting BITEC for trade shows...excellent front desk staff, they help you get your way around the city. Hotel food is ok, breakfast menu more on thai cuisine (not inlt as to what is stated in the site), breakfast staff should be more courteous, helpful and should inform guest if they are to close before actually shutting down the lights on the buffet area... but overall staff is good, stay was decent but the pictures on the site looks way better than the actual hotel and room :-)

Rooms lovely and clean, great massage and lovely pool. Location isn't great though, but as we were getting flight next day this wasn't a problem as only 30 mins from airport. Book taxi with hotel - much cheaper. Huge shopping centre across the road kept us busy!
Bathroom had hand held shower only, not even a fixture to attach it to the wall above you. Long way from airport for an overnighter only.
Close to the new airport. Only about a 20 minute taxi ride.
The Avana Hotel is located 25 minutes by taxi from the New Airport and hidden away in a side street far away from local facilities. However the hotel has good in-house facilities and is suitable for a one night airport stopover.
Out of the way hotel but good pool and breakfast. Very polite staff.
nice staff, breakfast good - extensive selection mostly Thai. Pool cool but surroundings a bit concrete. midway between city and airport so reasonably convenient to both but a bit freeway bound.
A budget hotel pretty close (20 min.) to the airport. The advantage is the closeness to the airport. Other than that, the hotel is old and not in the best condition.
