Quite affordable price due to the location in the very historic heart of the city. Premises are clean and maintained, however there is no lift to upper levels (an old house). Perfect choice for one who needs only a bed during his/her discovery of Barcelona.
The location of the apartments is great as it is within walking distance of a lot of the central areas of Barcelona. If you are looking for a very quiet place this is not for you as from 7pm to 9am it is very noisy. People with children may want to check which room they are in as the glass was broken in the balcony doors.
Amazing location for a great price, apartments are kept very clean and tidy, and has every kind of kitchen and living utensils you need for a short stay from washing machine to toasters. 24hour reception and internet use (with very small fee) is useful, although the internet is occupied many times and you will need to wait a short time. The apartments don't have elevators, and if you are staying on the fourth floor (in reality 6th floor as there is two floors before the first floor) it is very very harsh to go up and down every day, especially carrying luggage or shopping bag. Another small annoyance was bit of a sewage smell in the bathroom, however it was very very clean, so i'm guessing its not really their fault. I would highly suggest this apartment for people traveling in small groups.
The apartment was very basic but very clean and comfortable. The location is fantastic very central right next to la ramblas with a metro station at the bottom of the street.
I stayed in the one bedroom apartment on Carrer Montserrat. It was nice and close to everything. Good heating and hot water. It is a good place to stay if you are travelling alone. I do not think an older couple or older people would enjoy this place. I loved it. And there are major night clubs below. For the price it is well worth it because you are less than 5 minute walk to Las Ramblas. I found it to be cheaper than staying in any fancy hotel and I enjoyed cooking for myself as well. I'd highly recommend this place to any of my friends planning to stay in Barcelona.
The apartment is situated nearly the Ramblas. In the night, from 2 till 4 AM, there is a lot of noise from people on the street.
