Baia Grande Hotel Albufeira

the breakfast was delicious, the staff were great, my only thing that would have been nice to have at in the room was a kettle to make your own tea and coffee,other wise the room was great. And I don't know if that's just me but for anything extra (like internet or pingpong) you had to pay,would have thought in a 4star hotel you wouldnt (but again I'm not sure, maybe that's normal) otherwise its a great hotel,great location,amazing breakfast. Those flapjacks with that sauce are to die for.

you need a car to access the hotel. small indoor pool and jacussi and sauna.

We found that the Baia Grande is an excellent hotel to stay at. The reception service was very efficient, the rooms were very clean and the heating or cooling system is an independent unit in each room. The balcony was adquately large enough to be comfortable and the view over the sea and outdoor pool very relaxing. The service we recieved from every member of staff was absolutely first class and the pricing of drinks in the hotel and by the pool were not extortionate A thouroughly satisfying experience overall.

excellent hotel for b&b, felt evening meal main course selections average and would not have wanted to eat there for the duration of my stay. overall though would be happy to return for future visits to portugal as other facilities excellent

Have stayed here several times and would recommend it only comment is that it is very difficult to gain access to the breakfast room on the first day! But overall a very good hotel

a very nice hotel - a little outside Albufeira quiet and the breakfast very good.

It is not on the beach it is a bus ride from the beach. It has no gym, Sauna is not working. Entertainment poor but everything else excellent.

Lovely hotel, nice pool area,a bit of a walk to the beach, lots of cliff. Beautiful.

This is one of the rare Four Star Hotels in the Algarve that actually merits Four Stars. I would recommend it to anyone looking for quality accommodation at a reasonable price with good facilities. If you are looking for a Hotel with discos and hi- tec music, try somewhere else. If you want a relaxing holiday with a great pool, including a kids pool, this is ideal. Although there is a regular shuttle bus provided by the Hotel into Albufeira town, a hired car is useful.

Very nice modern hotel with a good selection of facilities. Service ranged from very good to average with some of the staff being quite surly. But overall, very good.

The hotel was fantastic in terms of price, facilities and cleanliness. However it was a little way from town. Its best if you have your own transport. However, the hotel offers a free shuttle bus which travels to the town 4 times per day the last leaving the town at 7:30pm. Be wary of the taxi dirvers and the outlandish charges. Ask how much it costs prior to traveling anywhere.

Excellent hotel offering genuine sea views that are well worth the extra few Euro. Very clean and tidy with both an indoor and outdoor pool although the latter was extremely cold at the time of my visit in May !! Poolside snack bar with good quality food at decent prices. Only drawback is you have to pay €8 each way to reach the centre of Albufeira in a taxi (€16 return) - although on our last day I did hear a free shuttle bus was available !!

The Staff are extremely friendly, polite and helpful. The facilities with the hotel are good, with Indoor/outdoor pool, Sauna, Jacuzzi and small gym equipment. Location is great for the beach and sea views
