Bangkok Palace Hotel

location is great, everthing is close by. Major shopping malls less than 20minz away. good price for the hotel, rooms are old, but have a/c. decent size pool and gym area.

nice comfortable hotel, breakfast wasnt great, fairly pricey in the restaurant so didnt eat dinner there. friendly staff. swimming pool lovely except for the fact that its very near the main busy road which made it noisy.

The rooms smelt dreadfully of damp. We were with three other couples all in different rooms and levels and all rooms were bad in this regard. None of us could get any wine glasses sent to the rooms for a drink together - I even spoke with the manager after being given the right royal dismissal who simply stated that the policy was "NO WINE GLASSES IN ROOM" but gave no reason why. Also had big drama after having their buffet in the evening by asking to have my account put on the hotel account - another thing they didn't want to do. Other than that very good value for the money - let's face it you get what you pay for and this was VERY CHEAP. After this experience I have come to the realisation that we will never stay in less than a four star again - anywhere. Seems to me if you do you have to put up with dilapidated, outdated hotels with minimal maintenance and poor facilities - not worth it. hotel foyer quite impressive but who wants to sleep in the foyer!!!!

I stayed 5 nights from 26/12/09-31/12/09 and was upgraded to a inter coneected room in place of a superior room as we were a full family travelling together. great location and pricing. breakfast is same everyday. aircondition not to cool but overall a great deal at a great price.

no freee internet in room, no hot water.

the location is great, its accessible to the market,restaurant,coffe shops etc.. got a free buffet breakfast there and the food is great. I realy like the place, i realy like the hotel and the people(staff)are nice. Someday if I will visit Bangkok again i would rather to stay in Bangkok Palace because its affordable and great hotel.

This nice deal hotel, if you are looking for clean place and reasonable rates, definetly, it's good, and not far from Pratunam, and World Center, Big C supermarket.

The staff is very kind and helpful, and though English is difficult at times, they always try to please. Any problems I had were dealt with immediately. The location is really convenient for walking to major cheap shopping centres and the main electronics mall. While the hotel is not super-flash, my room was a 'junior suite', very large and comfortable and reasonably priced. The main temples and other tourist attractions near the river are about 30 minutes by taxi, which will cost maybe $10. Get a metered taxi!! I've stayed at this hotel twice now and would go back again. If you want luxury, go elsewhere and pay lots more.

The hotel was in a very good area where we could travel to most of the venues by the MRT. There was only one problem and that was that our room was on the same level as the pool and I think it was the pool pump we could hear running while in our room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would return but make sure of the room.

The staff were extremely helpful and freindly and service was prompt. The meals in the Makkasan Restaurant and the Bakery were excellent - quality, freshness, presentation - all superb. Thanks to the Managment and staff for our first very enjoyable Thai holiday. PS: Massage to be recommended.

For the internet price, a very good deal. Within walking distance of Siam Center if you don't mind a short hike in !00 degree weather....otherwise, buses and taxis everywhere. Staff was not that helpful and limited English..but that goes for most places in Bangkok. Good food stalls in the neighborhood.

This hotel is well located the rooms are clean and of a good size. I would use this hotel again.

Not in a very good location. Area around hotel is very dirty. Not many taxi drivers know the hotel. Rooms are very small and we stayed in an executive room.

Would reccommend this hotel you are on holiday and don't need the internet.

Excellent location if only staying a night as its very near the Airport and expressway and not to far from the city center. Hotel is very large and a little corporate but the pool is good and very close to the world Trade center although the area looks a bit run down.

I love the breakfast buffet, good food, many choices to choose from. If you like to stay in the town center of Bangkok, then it has an ideal location and of course the price is very good!
