Bannatyne Hotel Durham

A comfortable, modern hotel close to the main road. The use of the health club was a bonus.

Overall I was very pleased with this hotel. It's just a few minutes drive from the centre of Durham, is in a decent location that is easy to find and is very well set up. Our room was very well put together, very very clean and the staff were very welcoming and efficient. The bathroom in particular was excellent - very nicely done with an excellent shower. Use of the gym next door is an excellent perk, as well. My only complaint about the hotel is that there seemed to be no climate control in an otherwise nice room - even in late September it was a little bit stuffy at night, I would think the summers would be quite hard going. A terrible oversight in an otherwise good hotel. Still very good value, though and would happily recommend.

The hotel was easy to access, priced well and the rooms spacious - and the use of the leisure centre included is a nice addition
