Stayed for 4 nights at floor 20 in the Plaza club rooms. very nice rooms. Staff was frindly but needs to improve english skills. 5 min walk from the beach and next to the best resturants and Sky Bar. Recomended.

Our most spacious VIP Suite accommodation offers luxurious rooms on the top floors of the hotel. Separate sitting and sleeping rooms with bath and shower and a guest bathroom. The lounge has a sofa and chairs and a dining table for 6 guests. The bedroom boasts an oversized King Bed and has the latest in home entertainment with an LCD Television on the wall. The suite is elegantly decorated and spacious enough for children and adults. Full access is included in the tariff to all Plaza Club facilities and benefits.
The hotel is nice and quite new, with good location just about 500 m to the beach by walking, good facilities, western breakfast (with not much choice but still good), good services and helpful personnel. They offer shuttle electric car to/from the beach on every hour, the hotel also provides sun beds and umbrellas on the beach. Free internet with good quality of connection, satellite TV, beach towels and flip-flops, filled minibar - this was fine. On the other hand, very few people from the staff could speak English, so every request took us some time to explain (incl. room service). No swimming pool in the hotel Final judgment - very good choice even that hotel is not right on the beach, fine for families, couples and business trips as well. Very good quality for very reasonable price.
The only complaint I have is their lack of NON SMOKING ROOM.

I had a wonderful time there. The only problem was I speak no chinese and the staff barely knew english so it was extremely difficult to communicate with them,The hotel is located a few minutes from the beach and there was everything within walking distance banks, mall, fruitstands, supermarket and restaurants.
A very comfortable hotel in a good location but our biggest problem was trying to communicate. There seemed to be virtually no staff in housekeeping and even room service who could speak english.
It's a very beautiful hotel. New, clean, and the rooms are fantastic. I'm paying the rate of a 3-star hotel to stay in a 5-star hotel. VALUE FOR $. Will definitely recommend it and will definitely come back to stay for my next trip.
Stayed here 24th Dec 2006 for 5 nights -lastminute shanghai getaway. Surprised at the standard for the rate I paid-beautiful clean(executive)room-hotel is immaculate(Im a fussy interior designer btw if that helps!) Plus points: Only 5 mins walk from beach(if you are lazy there is a shuttle cart)where you can use the hotels private loungers foc. Ideal for a lazy break as there is not much else to do beyond eat and beach activities-the town consists of 1 main street & an outdoor evening foodcourt-worth sampling Buffet breakfast one of the biggest and best Ive ever had! Staff generally very courteous Room service prices also good surprising for 5 star hotel eg club sandwich 45rmb Bad points: Staff dont speak english well..hotel mainly caters (as does the whole resort) to chinese and russians. Slightly inept service Only BBC News english lang tv and 1 free movie channel No pool-sauna and steam room payg NB Being China haggle for taxi on arrival-dont pay more than 60RMB!
