Barcelo Nervion Hotel Bilbao

Good modern hotel in a very good location - it is located on the river and is a lovely 10 minutes walk to the Guggenheim in one direction, while 10 minutes in the other direction brings you to the old town with its restaurants and tapas bars. If arriving by car, the hotel car park (located under the hotel) charges for parking, but is essential as on street parking is difficult to find.

Excellent location (Could almost see the Guggenheim), clean, staff weren't overly helpful though.

Location was great next to the river. Quiet area. Central to everything. Spacious clean rooms. Open plan kitchen, good food. Reception kinda sterile more geared up to the business user. Overall no complaints.

The Hotel is in an ideal location in the centre of Bilbao. The hotel was clean and in good condition and the breakfast choice in the restaurant was great. I was surprised that it was only a 3 star as it surpassed in quality, many 4 star hotels that I have stayed in. I'm very glad that we picked this hotel. Excellent value for money.

Very convenient location and easy to find. Charging 15 Euros for overnnight parking was a bit much otherwise everyhting else excellent.

We found this hotel to be very comfortable and convenient. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and access to the wireless internet connection throughout the hotel is a great plus. The entrance-lobby area is a bit modernistic and the rooms are neat and inviting.

When we arrived, the room we were shown had two single beds and we had asked for a double. For an extra 30 Euros, we had a great room with a sitting room facing the river.

We had a most pleasant stay at Barcelo Nervion Hotwl Bilbao in 2004. Everything about the hotel was outstanding. Our room was lovely and quiet, and location marvellous, as we had specifically come to visit the Guggenheim. We had found the hotel on the Internet from New Zealand - the location was just perfect. The hotel staff were execellent. We would most certainly recommend the hotel to any New Zealanders about to visit Bilbao.

Easy to find, efficient service, quiet room excellent. Matched our needs for being somewhere relatively convenient for the airport (15 minutes) on our last night in Spain with a requirement to return a hire car there before a morning flight out. Strongly recommended for anyone in a similar situation.
