FRIENDLY, COURTEOUS, HELPFUL, GREAT BREAKFAST INCLUDED. HAD A BOTTLE OF WINE WITH NO OPENER AND CAME UP AND OPENED IT FOR ME. PARKING IS A LITTLE TIGHT BUT ADEQUATE IF YOU ARE CAREFUL.
I've stayed at this hotel several times and must say, it's very good for the price. The breakfast is excellent, room very nice and comfortable, good location. I just wish they would offer FREE parking and WI/FI for guests like other hotels.

This is a highly rated hotel, but by the States standards, is nothing impressive. We stayed here both on arrival and departure of our Costa Rican vacation. Rooms are nicely appointed and clean. Staff was confused about arranging our hotel transportation, obviously some communication was lacking, but they worked out everything without issue and overall were very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was an incredible feast, however dinner at the restaurant was awful. Would consider Barcelo's other hotel in San Jose for future trips, but this was a respectable option for our needs.

i have stayed at the barcello palacio many times and found the hotel and staff to be excellent. i would recomend this hotel as the staff is very accomadating and friendly. food is good at all the hotel resturants prices are reasonable for this first class hotel.. I travel alot and seen many hotels in central and south america.. this hotel is a excellent choice
