Opened in January 2007! Vanguard aparthotel which is recently constructed modern residential building and has 70 studios and apartments. The building has a very successful design which has been facilitated by the nature of the site (a rectangle 90m.x 25.5 m.). The passageways giving access to each apartment are open-plan and merge with the interior courtyard space, which in effect makes it possible to dispense with the always unattractive type of interior courtyard. The structure has been constructed with four façades along the length of the building (giving onto Calle San Fructuoso) and 6 along the width. This means that the rooms can have large windows on both their exterior and interior façades, not only letting in a lot of light but also making it possible to have cross-ventilation and so giving very pleasant interior temperatures. Getting there:The Barcelona Montjuic has excellent transportation options. It is located a few minutes from Plaza España and the Airport. It is near the upcoming AVE train station and is within easy access of the tourist beaches of Castelldefels, Sitges, etc. LOCATION On the location map it is possible to see how to get to the BCN-montjuïc Building from any part of the city of Barcelona. The building is situated in an area with a high level of commercial and administrative activity, and which is progressively becoming one of the fastest-developing districts of Barcelona. It is a centrally-located area with very good access routes which make it possible to get to the Plaza de Cataluña (in the centre of Barcelona) in 5 to 7 minutes by taxi, and in between 10 and 15 minutes by other means of public transport.

Good service. Staff was nice and helpful. My studio was clean and in good order. Few minutes away from the metro and the beautiful montjuic hill with the MNAC museum and more. If you like walking it takes about 20 minutes to walk into ramblas area (if you like the ramblas), metro takes just few minutes.
It is located near metro station which makes it easier to reach city Centre. I stayed there with my family. The beds were two single size ones, instead of a double size one. The walls and the floor were not clean. The hotel stuff were friendly.
Good location -(Near Plaza Espanya) - it is better to take Airbus from the airport it will bring you straight to Plaza Espanya, also recommended to take the airbus from Plaza Espanya to the airport (Cheap and fast). Bus number 9 can take you to Plaza Catalunia and bus 57 or 157 can take you to the beach. there is a metro at Plaza Espanya. Very recommened to by T10 ticket. Kitchen tools cost money (4 Euro) not metioned on the web. Nice pool when it's open. There is a T.V in the room but only Spanish channel with no music or radio channel. Genaraly as long as the price is not high as compered to different places it's worth it. Nice Stuff.
A bit far from the metro station, and however, pretty good access to the airport.
The location of the hotel is superb in the aspect of metro. The room was big, quiet and comfortable. Staff friendly an helpful.
Hotel well situated just down the road from Placa d'Espagna, where tour buses leave from. Quite basic but perfectly adequate.
there was now wiew at all from this budget room, but on the top of the hotel was a nice pool and a small gym to spend time.
I obtained a great last-minute price of 50 Euro for a single room, which is far less than the rack rate. Therefore, hard to determine if it's worth full price or not. However, for the price I paid it was wonderful. Full bathroom, huge tub (I'm 6'3"), kitchen to cook in, TV, phone. Only thing I would recommend is more cooking utensils as there were lots of pots and pans, but nothing to use to cook in them (spatulas, etc.). Location is a 5-10 minute walk from the metro stop around Plaza Espana. About 5 European blocks away, and 1 off the main street. Would definitely stay there again for the same price!
