Barcelona Universal Hotel

All up an enjoyable stay, room was clean and hotel well located.

The only disappointment was that the swimming pool was closed . very convenient location for all the sight seeing places. Neat and clean , big rooms excellant shower and bathroom facilities good breakfast Free Internet at the lounge and the satff helped a lot in keeping the luggage after check out and insturcting on how to use local buses metro and their own input into makig the trip pleasant if i have to come back to Barcelona i will choose this hotel again.

Staff is so helpful- made reservations for airport shuttle and tour for us. Comfy bed, towel warmers, great location to La Rambla and all attractions.

We would definitely stay at the Barcelona Universal hotel if we were to return. The room, although small, was spotlessly clean and had very good amenities. The staff were very helpful and spoke English. The breakfast was very good and the hotel was about a 10 minute walk from Las Ramblas. The only difficulty was parking as it is awkward getting into the parking area. The 22 euros for parking was well worth it as the car was left in a secure area.

Great location and staff was very friendly. We were four in our family and we all enjoyed our stayed in this hotel. Good size room and bathrooms were very clean. Good service.

We had a very enjoyable stay in Barcelona Universal. Helpful reception staff. Only minor point was the lack of towels at the pool area and the pool bar attendant was absent on many occassions.

You live in a box .No Window .A very good standard but you cannot call it a room without window

Excellent location - 5 minute walk from central Barcelona, La Rambla etc. Exceptionally clean, good sized rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Reached the hotel from Girona airport by bus ( 21 Euros return) and taxi 10 Euro. Did not use bar/restaurant as there are plenty in the area but no reason to believe they would not be excellent.

Very warm welcome and good availability and kindness of staff. Rooms are of a high confort. I will go there again should I return to Barcelona.

Good facilities friendly staff, clean was given a room straight away when we arrived in the morning after a long flight. Reasonable walking distance to Las and Bar withiRamblas. Restaurant n Hotel if you don't want to go out.

Beautifully maintained & well positioned hotel.Easy to get to all the sights on the metro or walking.Buffet dinner wasn't that good & knowledge of different dietary requirements was severely lacking.Would stay there again but would definitely eat out.

Located near to Las Rambles, a must do walk when in Barcelona. This hotel was very clean and close to shops, cafe's and the waterfront for a short taxi ride to the cruise ship terminal for our cruise the next day. Hotel is modern but busy at times so be patient when checking in or out. Staff friendly and very helpful. Facilities were good with a bar fridge, pool, gym etc. an a good variety of eating places in just a short walk.

Kind staff hospitality with free Wi-fi. Restaurant food variety is limited.

Noise from adjacent bathrooms was a little loud. But OK if you kept the bathroom door closed.

Nice clean and convenient hotel. Within walking distance to the port and La Ramblas.

Some staff were very helpful (others not so) but great pool and veiw from roof. Everything was really good, enjoyed my stay there and would definitely stay there again.

Very convenient location; metro stop right in front of the hotel. Large bathroom, very modern hotel. WIFI in the hotel had great speed.
