"Hotel was nice if but a little dated. It all seemed to require a fresh coat of paint or wallpaper. Our bedroom was spacious but the chairs could have done with re-stuffing! It was fine for what we wanted - one night's stay after a concert at the Royal Albert Hall and fell within our budget. It is very convenient for Earls court tube station - not even a 5 minute walk. Hotel description:    Situated in a quiet, leafy conservation area within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, just 200 yards from Earl’s Court Underground Station, the Barkston Gardens Hotel is a converted terraced Victorian House offering spacious, comfortable rooms with modern-day amenities.

Built at the turn of the 19th century, this 3 star standard hotel has recently undergone refurbishment and now features two modern meeting rooms and a traditional pub-style bar with high-speed Internet access while still retaining its charm and splendour. Continental and full english breakfast are served daily in the restaurant.

Conveniently located and easily accessible by public transportation, the hotel is the ideal base for exploring London’s attractions whether visiting the city for business or pleasure.

Free wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel in the reception and bedrooms.

From 23rd August 2009 a new lift is being installed at the Barkston Gardens Hotel and work is expected to last 2-3 months. Every attempt will be made to avoid disruption to guests whilst this work to improve our services is being carried out. Please note that there is another lift which will be operational throughout this period.
